Darth Vader Reveal mask..build in the vents?

I´ve found this parts for my Vader reveal mask today :

What is the best way to build them in the mask?

I need to cut the metal wings on the sides,right?
But I don´t wanna destroy them.

The fiberglass of my facemask is too thick,that I could glue the vents behind the holes.
