Fire Spray 31 patrol and attack craft from Oovo IV prison

Re: Slave-1

For those i do know by name.... Guy Lee Jason Katsu Scott Alfrado thank you
for those I don't know by name thank you as well!

Re: Slave-1

Ok so I am working on the other tail half......but I figured
let me form the half I have finished, the left side.

Right side of tail filled with clay....

Pencil marks show repairs to be made....

Forming the left side tail half......

Sanded out .....

Here is all the flash that needs to be cut away,
the pull was tight so the cutting lines are crisp and
easy to follow while trimming.

Everything came out a little longer.....which is a good thing
the dremel tool makes quick work of that.

Cleaning up the bottom edges...

Mock up on unfinished part that tail
will connect to.....

Seeing you work like this makes me want to kick my lazy ass into gear and finish all the various models I've got backed up!!!! If you can manage to build a ship like this from literally the bottom up I've not got any excuses any more!!! I think this is actually going to be the one that breaks the Slave 1 barrier and get built. Great work.

Re: Slave-1

Its so kind of you to build a Slave 1 for me Mike, really appreciate it :lol

Seriously coming together now, you have a great knack of making this stuff look really easy and simple. !!!!!

Re: Slave-1

I stay away from this site and it pulls me back, Then this thread blows me away. Mad skills that harp back to the days when there was no prototyping machines and computers doing all the work . Your skills remind me of the architects that still " draw" . The use of the UC is genius and will last forever.

Re: Slave-1

Thanks guys that's a lot of kind words for something I am
not sure is going to work...but thank you very much!!:lol

Some work on the ribs to get them smooth....then I just
added back some clay to fill them in.

Lumpy front part......

I drilled some holes and pinned these to parts together
temporarily....so I could sand it as one piece. I am tempted
to connect them and form it as one part. The problem with
that is I need a bigger former to do it I would have to make
another one, second as one part I can only dial in the
measurements from the tail. In 2 prats i can play with both
parts.....if anyone knows how long this section should be exactly
that would be nice to know.
