Hey guys,

Big news for lovers of Doctor Who and screen accurate props today, as DW propmaker Nick Robatto has launched Rubbertoe Replicas!

For DW prop enthusiasts like myself, this is the holy grail - screen accurate props made from the original molds by the original propmaker. Doesn't get much better than this folks!

The larger props can get a little pricey but it's tough to say no to one of the black boxes from The Power Of Three or the plaque from Matt Smith's TARDIS:

Build date 1963? :facepalm

That Harkness gun is beautiful. The price is out of my range, but it's way more affordable than QMx.

Can it get any better than this, quality DW replicas from the top man himself. As for the I.D plate, I’m guessing that it has been translated from Gallifreyan to Earth English, so we can better understand it’ s meaning, as no one can read Gallifreyan, anyhow that’s my take on it.

Excellent work Nick, and if you need an Australian distributor for your DW replicas I asked first. :thumbsup

The brass coasters with the sonic display stands look sweet!

Seriously want Jack's gun, having a brain-fark but when did River have that gun?

It's one of those things they put on there that you'll never see on screen. A tribute to the launch of the show. Makes perfect sense in that regard and of course completely accurate to the original just doesn't make sense "in universe".

These all look great Nick. Glad you're offering them! :thumbsup

Totally agree. And there are no spelling mistakes, another bonus :thumbsup

kewl site, but a little bummed...

On the FAQ, it says...
Will we be making any Sonic Screwdrivers?

We have no plans to make any Sonics in the near future. However, please join our mailing list to hear about any new products we may be launching; if we change our minds we'll let you know!

But on the ABOUT page, they have a slide show with these images...

I wish they gave a bit more of a product description. The spheres are pretty cool but for $80+ I'd like to know what I'm getting. The same with the Tardis plate.

Maybe this time we'll get affordable sonics , that are actually produced, and are not 4 grand

It depends what you mean by "affordable".

Whoever produces them (Nick Robbato himself, MFX, Celestial Toystore, etc), expect to pay several hundred US dollars / UK pounds for replica Sonic Screwdrivers that are not just plastic toys.
