First time building a costume. started as a little halloween project. The more and more research I did on this, the more fell into the cosplay realm which i got sucked into and the more serious I became with the costume. Went through alot of trial of and error but I'm Pretty happy with the results. The good thing about this costume is that it turned out to be very cost effective, yet still retained a decent replica like character. Heres some pics hope you enjoy and please tell me what you think. the best part i think about this costume was the ease of getting in and out of it. The armor pieces are glued onto the jacket with e6000 craft glue. I made the chest piece as one unit with foam. I like the concept of the U.D. Replica chest piece how it comes on and off with velcro so i went with that. The gauntlets are glued onto the jacet as well and the straps velcro on. this suit really fits like a glove which i like about it. having it not baggy any where really makes you feel the persona of The Dark knight. If i spent a little more time with it i would have made a great neck piece to it. I got the idea three weeks before halloween so i didnt have time to do so. I basically cut the neck of the rubies mask off just so it was easier to turn my head.

If you have any questions on making this this piece let me know!

materials:

6mm craft foam

2mm craft foam

high temp hot glue gun

armor from an alpine stars jacket (should armor and elbow armor

black leggings

rubies full face latex mask (those 200 cowls wouldnt make it cost
effective but if you can afford it go with it.

motorcycle gloves spray painted black.

shin guards as gauntlets.

rain boots

black bed sheet as cape

rubies batman utility belt

Looks great man! I'm thinking about tacking a break from Iron Man and building my own dark Knight. You have done a great job of capturing the look on a budget. Good work.
