A few of us guys from the replica prop board set about building a dredd 2012 costume to put together at the movie mania event last weekend. It went down to the wire but here's a few pics of the finished result. Not 100% complete but we focused on all the main parts with the intention of doing the rest later .

Lawgiver with led screen and super bright led in the barrel, couldn't quite finish it on the day but it's nearly there

Sick work! What's the chest armor made out of? Will any of these parts eventually be put into production and offered in the Junkyard? I am putting a costume together but making the eagle shoulder pad and accurate chest armor are way beyond my costuming skill level.

Hi quake , all the parts parts were cast from sculpts . Chest armour is PU foam , shoulder is fibreglass and the eagle and pad below the shoulder are skinned with rubber and backed with PU foam. All a bit experimental at the moment and I want to try some other materials to see what works best. Also more parts to make as the belt buckle is a 95 version at the moment. Then the back armour, boot parts , holster , buckles and mag pouches etc.

First job is to finish the lawgiver though , all the parts are pretty much made but there wasn't time in the end to assemble it at the event.
More electronics planned too with various displays , louder gunshot noise and a working recoil action

love the shoulder pads they look great, that is the part i think i will have trouble with when i start mine

It was a real labour of love I can tell you , definately the hardest part of the costume !

Awesome work.

It was nice to see this (and some of the very talented guys) in the flesh last week

Shoulda got some pics in the tower stairwell. It looks very 'industrial' in there.....

It's not me halo but RPB member maverick118, Mav also made the lid and badge and with his other half jill , the leather under suit . Jill did an amazing job on the leathers , the ribbed piping in the collar section alone took 20 hours !!

Cheers nobby , we were a bit down to the wire at the end of the Sunday so only had a chance to take a few shots . We're planning on having a few judges done for the Brit sci fi event in march so should have a lot more opportunity for photos all around the space centre

Judge west who did all the lawgiver plans and electronics is now working on a fully interactive LCD display as well as louder gun noise and either a gas or electric airsoft glock to get a blowback action as well . It's gonna be the coolest lawgiver there is when it's done ....I Can't wait

A few of you guys have asked about runs for the armour parts , I'm still experimenting with other materials at the moment plus I'm a bit wary of licensing etc as a lot of the studios are sending out cease and desist orders of late. My initial idea was to just make a few for close friends but well see how the water lies

Great looking suit. I like the whole suit but I really like the eagle shoulder piece and helmet.
