Justice League

Well, I’m curious, after watching half in the bag, was the mother box being used to resurrect Superman really that ridiculous? Did they suddenly just realize to use the mother box on him?

Im also surprised that Superman was simply just buried? Was that the case?

The movie is ok but its less than what it should be.

WB has butchered it totally by deleting key scenes which would enhance the movie. There are many scenes filmed and deleted because WB mandated a under 2 hour cut, which is ridiculous.

This is what a Vfx artist says about it who worked on the movie.
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/7dhu3f/official_discussion_justice_league_spoilers/dq05bf7/

"No, vfx houses don't see or have anything to do with cutting the films together. We deliver shots, and find out if they're being included or not. A lot of lovely work was omitted, unfortunately, in favour of what we had to rush from the reshoots. Having seen the film now I'm massively disappointed that 95% of Superman's scenes are from the reshoots."

Even in the trailers, deleted scenes where Alfred supposedly meets Superman are missing from the final cut.
Looks like WB totally massacred this movie to try please people, instead of sticking to the vision of the director.

Apparently, Snyders original cut is 3 hours but WB didn't like it so got Whedon to rewrite some additional scenes.
Snyder's family tragedy meant he had to abandon it completely and so Whedon directed these scenes.

You only have to look at the reshot scenes, Afflecks wig is terrible compared to the original Snyder footage shot and many of the trailer scenes are missing in the final release.

The color grading is also way too bright IMO.

You can tell which scenes are Snyder and which are Whedon quite easily.

Oh yeah, for anyone interested, here are leaked deleted scenes, including a Barry Allen and Iris scene which has unfinished CGI. God knows how they leaked this.

The reason Marvel does better than DC is because for the most part, they have one man steering the ship: Kevin Feige. He knows these characters, he cares about these characters, and Marvel\Disney knows this, so they let him run the show.

DC has\had Zack Snyder. He is the polar opposite of Feige in almost every respect. He's said from day one that he's not a comics fan. To make matters worse, the DC movies definitely feel like a "work by committee" type of project. Way too many cooks in the kitchen and then we end up with the type of mediocre product we've been getting.

I’m confident that Whedon's changes to this film made it an overall better movie than what Snyder would’ve done. The movie was a mess, the Snyder movie would’ve been worse.

Some of Joss' recent Twitter activity seems to acknowledge that he knew he was working with some bad elements (Steppenwolf), but it was too far into the process to do anything about those parts. Whedon is far from a perfect moviemaker, but has shown to be much more solid than Snyder in many regards.

This isn't, shouldn’t and need not be Marvel vs. DC. But, it’s gonna happen. I think any of us would cheer just as loud to get these heroes in the movie they deserve.
