Here it is guys, two days of work and this is where I am at.

If anyone has comments or suggestions, please feel free to add your input to help me make this thing epic.

Day 1: PEP (Dung0Beetle)

This pep will be used for the overall shape of the helmet and needs some alteration to achieve the new helmet's look.

Full sheet of paper glued into place to keep the nose down and to keep the helmet in shape better.

Day 2: After filling this thing up with some slushed resin, BONDO AND SANDING!!!!

Now from the looks of the last picture, the cheeks don't come out far enough on the comic style helmet that DB modeled, so strips of styrene were glued into place where the cheeks should come out to and then filled in with more BONDO!

Styrene comes out and we have this:

Now, More SANDING!!!!

After the sanding, just for fun, I taped off the trim pattern and gave it a quick spray of brown primer to give me an idea of if I am headed in the right direction...

I think it's looking right on so far...

Now I cut out the badge hawk:

This thing is pretty ugly... It will be cleaned up and retrofitted back into the helmet soon.

That's enough for today I think....

Nice work so far. I'm working on that same build, but put the thread over in the Replica Costume thread. How did yours come out as far as the size? Did you scale it at all? I did not and it looks too small to me. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Here's mine:

I rescaled mine yes. Made it bigger.

More updates before I have to head to work...

The badgeHawk was cut out:

Then it got a bit of Apoxie Sculpt on the sides to make it square (DB's pep tapers)
