Thanks, actually I brushed the gun with a fine coat of silicon rubber before I poured the entire pot:

Crushed any bobble I saw, nevertheles, there could be some of them there. We will see when I remove the gun day after tomorrow. Cross your finger boys and girls.

We will see IF everything worked out next Friday morning when I will be able to open it. Already buying materials to do some test over next weekend.

This is the first cast I did. Far from be a good cast, but will teach me where to brush resin first. I am really happy air vents worked out the way I thought and the sharp borders and shape are terrific. Coloured the resin black for testing proposes only. What do you think? I am ready to cast?
 
It look bumpy or porous... is that normal? How does it "smooth out"?

I think this is a result of the 3D printed 'base' that was used as a master.

not sure how much was/can be done in those detailed areas..

It's weight is about 700 grms, heavy, but normal talking about polyester resin. Will give you the impression of a real gun. The one sold on eBay are about 500 grms, but they are smaller in comparison with this. Stay tuned.
 
About the coloring, makes no sense to color it since you have to sand, apply primer and paint it. Those light gray ones will be finished by me. Will be doing some of them in black too.
