Dredd movie helmet WIP (Stallone version)

OK, so the helmet has been cleaned up.
All 'bleed' areas have been removed and the helmet has been wet sanded ready for lacquer (using 2400 grit)

im sure its the camera flash but that red looks awfully bright, be good to see this in natural light

your doing a great job by the way
 
yeah, i was definitely concerned by that 'red'
but, trust me, it definitely looks different in the flesh :)

I'll take some different lighting shots once i've got it lacquered
 
Very nice work mate, thats some pretty neat masking on the inner blue line. I think once its lacquered it will tone the red down a lot and you will have an awesome looking lid.

I'll post as soon as I lacquer. But I think my local Wilco (I'm out in the sticks) has got to wait til the new stock comes in :(
 
ok, she's finished :)

wasn't happy with the ultra-shiny look, so I dulled it down a little.
also can't get the colours to look right with my phone, but the red is a lot less 'orange' in real-life!!
