BTTF - Back to the Future Merchandise (Toys, Models, Figures, Statues)

I was wondering the same :), but I don't think DST's Monopoly is going to come even close to the level of cool detailing like Beechy's version.

BTW it bugs me that DST is still using the BTTF Part II logo for most of their BTTF product packaging, cause the BTTF logo licensing is more pricey.

I feel like such a bad fan for even needing to ask this, but what's the difference with the logos?

The logo font and text are itself identical, but many Back to the Future (Part I) related products from DST including the Part I DeLorean model car packaging have the words "Back to the Future - Part II" as the logo on them. In relation to the actual final product it's not really a big deal, but it's the level of cop out DST continues to make to save on higher licensing fees.

You can see the full logo on the top of the monopoly box, where the blue "Pending Licensor Approval" note has been placed.

The flying DeLorean graphic is great and was used in promoting the second film, but unless this product is specific to the second film (and I am pretty sure it's not), it shouldn't carry the Part II logo and should say "Back to the Future" alone, including for items representing the whole trilogy,

Oh I didn't notice that! I was thinking I was missing some other major difference in the logos, but I didn't know you meant literally the logo with "part 2" on there. I agree that definitely looks off unless it's a product specific to part 2.

Vivek's point is solid. A friend gave me the DST 1/15 Time Machine thinking it was the hover conversion version because it had the part II on the package. He was disappointed because he thought he paid for the version with the folding wheels, not realizing to look for Mr. Fusion.

I mean whatever they gotta do to make the products is fine with me. It's nice to see merchandise. I guess I'm curious to know how much they are really saving. Sure the first movie cemented BTTF in film history but my feeling is there is a lot more to sell from the sequels. You'd think the Part II license would be the pricey one.

Next up, the Biff Tannen Pleasure Paradise official jacuzzi with bonus extra TV remotes!

Damn!! Didn't realise that they had a BttF Monopoly Game in the works.. I was hoping to have mine finished by 3rd July, 2015; so that it was completed, and maybe officially made, for the 30th Anniversary..

It's getting there, just need to work on getting the Tokens made, and finish off the things in PS, before I print it all..
