Another quick update! The pads are getting finished up!
Simple basic pad
Another. I love the cracks!
Coat of Satin Clear. I might change to a flat clear coat. Not sure yet
Detailing
Cockpit center door pad - I still have to make the entrance side pad (this weekend)
First coat of wash
And that's where we are. More to Follow!

Last weekend "Wired" came out to interview me and Jake and take lots of video of the project! I am SO THRILLED to announce that the article dropped this morning and they did a wonderful job making us and the project look good - that's quite a task!
A HUGE thank you to Patrick and Wired for taking interest in the project and geeking out with us last weekend!

Hey guys, have been following this thread for a while and have just watched the Wired interview... great stuff! It's plain to see that there's a lot of effort gone into this.
I just watched a clip from ESB with the Falcon, and instantly recognised a greeblie from recently reading the Dual Han in Carbonite thread (https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=169984) ... apologies if you already know about it but if not, that's a Volvo 343 instrument panel. In another shot it looks like there's another on the other side from that one too. They must have bought a job lot of them for this film!
Edit: I feel I should also credit the original thread that identified the Volvo instrument panel on the carbonite slab: https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=99579

Great work just found the wired interview and was about to come congratulate on it, very cool was great to see more stuff and get a better idea of things.
Once again a huge thanks and congratulations for everything on this project it really is amazing what you have done and is fantastic to check in to see progress and watch it come together.

This is Awesome! Just saw the Wired Video on youtube. I live in the Huntsville area! I'm an aircraft electrician by trade and have slowly been getting into the cosplay scene the past few years. I love creating things and would love to help in any way I can to advance the project. If you don't need any help, I'd still love to see it sometime, just drop me a line.
