1:1 Millennium Falcon Cockpit Replica - Group Build

Ok SK... you're in the final stretches... now it's time to get one of those big dry erase boards and write down everything else that needs to be done (front seats, navs seats, window frames, etc) to complete the whole project... break them down into various steps and mark em off as you get each done, then take a pic of the board for every update to show what's left! :) Sound like a good idea?

That's actually a great idea. Unfortunately, the focus shifts so often its difficult to stay focused. Our next big push is the skin and new Volvo panels (those are an absolute MUST)

Well see that's why it helps... it will allow you to maintain the focus on the things that need to be done... when you finish something, you cross it off... if you think of something else you add it on. Keeps everyone on the same page! :)

Hi Gang,

Update... Finally added some silver to the back wall greeblies

Not much of an update... More to Follow

Yanno what I find most amazing SK? You show off these individual pieces and I sit here (being a massive fan and Falcon geek my whole life) and think to myself "What the heck is that?" or "That doesn't look like it belongs in the cockpit at all!" I see ya peice the parts together and still I wonder what that could possibly have to do with the cockpit. I see you putty, sand and paint each piece and my curiousity grows with every photo. Then I see you paint and weather the part and it starts to look vaguely familiar in some unconscience way but still seems odd. But then, you post the photo of the part where it belongs and finally... FINALLY it all makes complete and total sense! That is where it belongs and it's like WOW how could I have ever have missed that before! You my friend are a MASTER!

I totally know what you mean. Then I'm like how the heck am I supposed to make that at a 1/6 scale?????:D

Holy mother of...

Sorry, would say more but my jaw has fallen off.

Hi F,

Thanks! :)

That Falcon cockpit is the most amazing prop replica or prop, I've ever seen I hope to see it in person one day:)

Hi A,

Thanks so much. We're trying VERY hard to make it as accurate to the ESB version as possible - with a few EP VII surprises along the way. ;)

I hope you get a chance to see and enjoy as well. The door is always open for ya!

Thanks so much. Very kind words. I hope I have the same success with the back wall! But we do have a little artistic freedom... and that does scare me just a little bit.

Looks terrific! Can't wait to see it all finished! Might have to make a trip to America and take a look!

Hi SaladKing,

Nice to meet another King of something! ;) Thanks so much. We're gearing up for another big update. I hope you can make it out as well. Would enjoy the meet and greet :)

The Hot Toys 1/6th Cockpit is a GREAT REF for the back wall. That's what I've been using for the basic shapes and placement. As far as the details, I'm winging it and having fun. I just hope I can capture the same look and feel as the original designers did way back when.

We have a few other parts of the ship planned out as well. :)

Hi All,

Let's get this Early Morning Update started!

Renovations at the SRC continue. We wanted to make sure we were well protected!

Added paint to this new greeblie - which I've decided to keep black. Several of the greeblies on the EP VII back wall are in fact black
