Some rather large plates on the roof are just for test fitting.

Thanks for looking.

Looking great katsu. Definetly some battle ship parts will look great for a bridge.

Thanks, Al-san.

I started to think about conning tower.
After some draw and trash, here is the sketch for.

Thanks for looking !

That bridge makes it look like a futuristic cruise ship.

Outstanding.

damn that looks awesome. looks like a old republic cruiser.

Katsu. could almost turn it into a catamaran or some kind of ocean going ship. its a great cross over ship. its so cool and works on a few different levels

Thank you very much, gentlemen !!
So far it looks like a millionaire's pleasure boat:lol.

Today I started to detail up the tower.

Scored the groove on the plates for 0.25 FO.

Add a few more detail and then to the upper deck.

The trench on the aft deck behind this tower will be like a petrochemical complex.

Thanks for looking.

Fantastic!:)

Your Battlestar looking cool!:thumbsup

I think your original modeling technique is really magnificent.

I'm look forward to seeing more.

Hi ! thanks for looking.
I saw your CCXRed2 is in a trouble right now.
It happens but I guess your skill can fix it faster than you think.:thumbsup
I believe you'll make it all right.:love

katsu

Today, I could squeezed out one and half hours to build before I get to my job. So I did a little preparation for tomorrow.

Last time I did the lighting with optic fibers, I had a hard time to fix those fibers in the layers.

I had to make many of these parts with my awkward fingers.
KC460220.jpg

I've been thinking about any other way to make it more efficiently.
And I don't think it's a best way to do but I fixed the some kind of 'bed' for the fiber like this.

I made this with a acrylic plate and aluminum tube and a couple of screw bolts.

KC460229.jpg

Then I set up the fibers on it like a wires in a grand piano with a double side glue tape.
Unfortunately, I had cut all the 0.25 fibers in 1 feet long some days ago, I have to did this one by one
but if you have a long straight line of fiber, all you have to do is just reel the fiber around and around.

KC460231.jpg

Then I inserted the plastic piece with superglue from the side way. and sandwiched with the other sheet plastic.

KC460232.jpg

KC460233.jpg

And then I cut it up. This time I could make it two in 30 min.

KC460234.jpg

KC460236.jpg

KC460235.jpg

I will cut them in an appropriate length and put it in a layers.

There must be some other better way to do this but I will try with this, this time.

Thank for looking.

Katsu.

Incredible!

Yeah I'm not sure if there is any better method of installing fiber optics. I just do a small section at a time and then glue that section in from the backside with Aleenes tacky glue, which is like Elmers only thicker. CA might attack and break a strand. Or you can slightly melt the end so that it mushrooms and can't fall back through the hole. I prefer a dab of glue on each one though.

You got a deep experience to handle those things. Thanks for the advice !!

Here is a little progress for a couple of days.
