Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

My slightly longer but shorter dowry chest jewelry box arrived today. Still haven’t worked either of these into my display, just having options available. Also, Edraven99 had the shorter one, so I had to get it also.

Tag Dave, you’re it!

Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

nice additions! :thumbsup
so, is it me or the replica has one more horizontal line on the bottom part?

Good eye! That’s actually part of the threading for
the end cap. The number of rings changes as you rotate it.

Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

thanks for your answer. so for you that has them in hand, the number of ring is correct? I thought that since your photos were with both replica and original in the same orientation everytime, it should match. It seemed to me that on all the photos, there was one more ring on the replica.
cheers :)

Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

I am headed out, but had time to take a quick picture. All these are real with Romans on the far right. I didn’t count threads yet.

Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

yeah, it might be ok then, it's just weird in your previous photos, it's really like it has 7 on all photos while the real has 5/6.
amazing collection once again, 5 MPP! :eek

Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

oh this is amazing! would love one of those and a balance pipe if they had stayed in Europe :)
seeing all of them side by side is just so crazy cool :thumbsup

Re: My Lightsaber Builds (All Real Parts and Replicas)

NICE!

I had not heard of your R2 build... maybe I'll have to look back through this thread.

I don’t think I’ve posted much about it. The thread title is stuck on Lightsabers even though it has evolved into a projects and full collection show off thread.

I’ve had the parts for a while. Most are sitting on the shelves behind the burner cans. I take something down, do a little work, put it back, wait a few months, put it back. I took about two years off on that project but really need to get back into it. I’ll send you some pictures while we talk about your IG-88 head!

That was one of the dream projects for the garage... One day I will do an R2

And R2 is really just a giant stand for a lightsaber, so works.

Forgot to mention that yours is one of the two on the far right. ;)

THIS I'm stoked on.
