James, I'll snap a few tonight. Today at lunch I was able to fully disassemble the windvane for the first time. In doing so, I discovered something I hadn't seen before. I've seen quite a few windvanes with a small pinhole on the top. As it turns out, mine had a tab where this hole typically is. The tab is used to keep the windvane locked into position against the releasing socket.
