Hi all! Here's my model ORCA in homage to JAWS - my favorite movie of all time! Built at 3' x 3' Took over a year to do, but as there are not many out there, it was worth it! It was a virtually complete overhaul of previously built model I bought that was made by someone else, but I was not satisfied with the details, so I upended the whole thing in stages and re-built most of her with the exception of the hull and pulpit. And in progress

I was up in the loft this weekend finding the Christmas decorations and doing some general maintenance so most of the stuff up there had to come down. Including the last 25 years worth of models.
I've already posted these on Facebooks Starship modeller so some of you may have already seen them.
I apologies for the dust :)
The Millennium falcon is the oldest one here built in the 70's long before we could get all the pretty pictures of the internet or freeze frame DVD's for an accurate paint job. You had to use the box art and remember what you saw when you were in the cinema. Hence the overdone weathering (I was only 13 :D).

Great collection; great work! What is the origin of the ivory ship with the silver scroll work - very unique looking!

Wow that is an amazing span of work!

I especially love seeing the classic Starblazers/Yamato kits and even obscure stuff like the 2520 Yamato

Great work on the Alien(s) and Trek stuff

Here's an overview of my collection. There's a couple of non-model items among them(the Portal 2 robot, and large Subaru were purchased as is).

Some of the kits were built 15-20 years ago.

I first got into modeling in the mid to late 90's, all Star Wars stuff. It all went... somewhere... when I joined the Air Force in '98. I just got back into modeling in 2017, when I got into the Metal Earth model kits. First one I got was an AT-ST, but set it aside about half way through and forgot about it. I picked up the hobby again last year, and actually finished a few. I have (and I'll need to check the scale on them) an X-wing and a Y-wing that came together in a set, an F-4 Phantom (still on the hunt for an affordable C-5B, on which I spent most of my career working), metal earth Slave I, metal earth K-2S0, and a DaVinci clock. I have four more Metal models to assemble, the USS Arizona, the Black Pearl, a B-1B Lancer, and Landos Millennium Falcon.

I did find my almost finished AT-ST, but alas, pieces were missing, so I made it a "Battle of Endor" casualty, fallen over, legs crippled, pieces scattered around. This one I plan to paint and add vines and moss and other overgrowth. I'll have to get a new AT-ST model.

I'm running out of room to display all my stuff.

make room, build shelves, do what you gotta do, you can't stop now...pick a room and in that room pick a wall with no window. build an egg crate style shelving deal floor to ceiling and wall to wall, vary the shelf height but be sure to make it as deep as the biggest thing you think you'll build. I'm just about to that point myself LOL(y)

It's not so much that I'm running out of room, more thst my wife is running out of patience with my collections. Lmao
I had that very same problem with mine, among other problems...unfortunately the other problems cause the final doom. I've got more space now for sure, but a permanent long term place to display whats still yet to be built in the closet is gonna be a problem pretty quick  LOL
good luck brother (y)
