Very nice how long did this take to make?

The battle of Hoth Dio? It's still a work in progress. Problem is i'm unable to lift off the perspex canopy by myself, and my partner is no longer able to lift things like that. But I'm moving house in a few months and will then have to shift it somehow. Once in my new place, I'll then re-work some of it. :)

Morning All,

This is my inaugural post to the RPF, andI thought what better way to introduce my self than to show you some of the kits I've built over the years....the first few are kits I byuilt when I was in my late teens/early 20's and took a huge break from it all....then a few BSG kits that re-inspired my to pick up a brush and scalpel..hope you enjoy!

Early years....

And now more recent builds (15 years after Defiant)

This is still a WIP but the principle built is done

Apologies for the range in photo size...but please free to comment :)

Well this will be tough, I am a pro kit builder and used to do the chiller theatre show for over 8 years, won lots of awards for my built ups, i have over 5000 pics . i did a lot for commission work, ( i don't get paid till the kit is delivered, just the way i work), box art built ups and kits just to sell. heres a few for now hope you enjoy as much as i have enjoyed all the kits i been looking at on here :)

Newb to posting, been lurking here a while. I've been building off and on for 25 years now.....here's my little collection at home. I still have a few in the stash to build though including:

1/350 USS New Jersey
1/350 USS Missouri (WW2 outfit)
1/48 F-14A
1/48 F-4E
1/48 Eurofighter
1/35 MH-60G

1/1000 USS Reliant
1/350 USS Enterprise A (lit up and what not)

And I've found I want to try and build the Black Pearl as well.....just have to get the kit (but the wife says I need to finish these others first :))

Anyway, pics!

IMG_7474.JPG IMG_7477.JPG It's not Sci-Fi but this is what I had an interest in when I started serious modelling about 25years ago. Military kits, (which in the 70's and 80's were everywhere and at a good price)
trucks ,cars, boats and Die-casts. But now I feel at home scratch-building a good Sci-Fi 1:1 scale hand weapon prop.
As you can see, I'm right into weathering .
After looking at all the models in this thread, I can see I am now amongst some great modellers who are very talented indeed. Keep up the good work.

THat's horrendously impressive work!!! You wouldn't happen to be R.Mateo would you? I've been greatly inspired by your write ups on Starship Modeler, especially your Y-Wing

Hello Haystack Hair.

Yes, that's me. I'm very glad you like my work and being useful as inspiration.

Most of my old models have been restored few months ago to a major exhibition and I'm very happy to have my collection in perfect condition again.
Once the exhibition was over, I made new pictures of my models and I had fun playing around with Photoshop.

In recent years I have dedicated to building a studio scale X-WING. You can see my thread on this link:

Best regards.
