1:2 Bust WIP: Lucius Malfoy (Harry Potter)

Hi,

I'm a new to the RPF.

I'm currently working on a Lucius Malfoy bust, he's my fave character from Harry Potter.

This is my first bust sculpt (it's roughly 1:2 scale) , I've only sculpted a few 1:6 scale heads before. It's also my first sculpt in Chavant NSP.

I gotta agree. You have a very good likeness going. I hope you have plans of going up to 1:1 scale eventually....

to my eye it looks VERY VERY good

now start sculpting some 1:1 stuff...:cool

I've seen the bust on the effect's lab , the likeness is very very good !

I know my sculpt is not good, but I would appreciate any comments and criticism to make it better.

Not good? Are you kiddin' me?

IMHO, the human likeness is almost impossible to achieve with a sculpt like this. Our eyes aren't easily tricked, that's why aliens and people with prosthetics are much easier to pull off in a bust.

I really think this is one of the best human busts I've ever seen. It just IS Malfoy to my eye.

Great job!

Now get to sculpting some 1:1 busts too! :cool

I want to do 1:1 busts, but first I need some more experience in mold making and casting.

No, it's not my very first sculpt, I did a very few 1/6 head sculpts before. :)

Very impressive piece. I foresee a great sculpting future for you. I saw a mix of Jason Isaacs and Stellan Skarsgård in the first picture, most notably caused by shape of the upper lip, I guess... but by the second image it was PURE Jason Isaacs.

Well done.
