Westworld (HBO)

Even so, the rape scenario seems way too out of character of Ford to come up with as a part of a narrative, as he appears to know and care about every character in the Westworld park. The only exception of him doing is him doing it as punishment for Dolores and Teddy and their involvement with Arnold's death (which does make sense, as he was probably distraught from losing Arnold and blamed them prior to coming to the realization that they were following their programming).

Its guests who are doing the raping, not hosts.

Ford has no control over what guests do, and even if he deliberately tried to create a character that couldn't get raped, there's a good chance that they still would, because humans are terrible creatures.

I truly think you're grasping at straws here.

Like I said, I do have the tendency to overthink things.

If you theorists want to cross universe delve, the exact spot of the escalators (Hawthorne Mall) seen in the first episode where the cold storage is located, is the exact spot in Minority Report where the PreCrime unit runs up them and a few feet away from where Tom Cruise waits for the balloons.

If you want a comedy tie in, Evolution, you can see what the mall looked like with store walls as it was modified for Minority Report:

and what it looked like when Westworld was wrapped however many of the flats and such are still stored at the mall so production may return.

The mall is officially scheduled for demolition with a new build finally approved after decades of nonsense. I used to work in the mall back around 1983/84, we used to slide down the middle of the escalator daily. I got to do it one last time.

The mall was used for the setting of The Mall of the Dead in John Dies In The End and the David Fincher film Gone Girl.

I can't remember if I posted an interpretation I sort of got from the show about Ford's character or not, but if I haven't, here's a video I did on it a while ago.

Tempted to get the blu-rays but not sure about rewatchability on this one.

I thought about it, too...then I looked at my Blu-Ray/DVD collection and said "I've never once popped in a single disc from a season of a show that I purchased," so decided to pass.

I've honestly stopped buying any movies at all a while ago. with netflix/hbonow, I'm good.
the last movies I bought was GOTG1 and Dawn of planet of the apes. and ive watched them from that media once each. its just easier to click on them or other movies while browsing the streaming services
