1:1 Scale Good Guy Chucky Doll FINISHED!!!!

Would you offer any pulls of the Chucky pieces??

Made a mold of my shoe upper. The laser cut pieces for the sole arrived as well, but I'll take a picture once I sculpt them into the sole:

One of my custom knit fabrics arrived. I got fabric knit by two different people and I'm going to put the one I like best on my own doll. I think this one looks pretty great though. I'm going for the way the colors looked in CP1. The green looked a little darker and the light gray was more of a powder blue. It may just be the way it was photographed, but whatever the case, I think it looks pretty good. Definitely better than the dream rush, which was just a printed fabric, and the medicom which made the white stripes too thick.

A note about sewing knits like this. You have to stitch all the way around every pattern piece, otherwise when you cut them out, they will unravel. Or at least that's what I was told and I wasn't willing to take any chances since it was rather pricey to get this stuff made:

Here's the sweater assembled:

It splits in the back with a velcro closure just like the screen-used doll:

And one last one of the full sweater and a little comparison pic. It's coming along nicely. I've never done a single prop project that required so many different skills before (sculpting, hard-edged modeling, painting, sewing, hair styling...).

Cheers buddy glad you like the doll. The artwork on the clothes were a real pain to get right fortunately I had access to a screen used doll.
Yep all those weapons on his clothes and shoes he has used at some point :)

Keep getting told off for mentioning the doll here! New to the forum so if I figure where to explain the doll I'll go into more details and upload so pics!

Re: BUILD THREAD: 1:1 Scale Good Guy Chucky Doll

I am extremely obsessed with chucky. I have been searching the internet for a replica chucky doll but can only come up with the crappy looking dolls easily sold in stores. I found a couple original good guy dolls on ebay but they are extremely expensive. Do you make these dolls to sale and f so how much do you charge for one? It may not be an important life goal but one of my goals in life before I die would to be own a replica chucky doll and a replica blade doll from the puppet master.

They went for about 4-7k. But, and it's a far reaching but, but a studio called Trick 'r Treat studios attained the rights for Child's Play earlier this year, and announced about 4 months ago that they will be doing a 1:1 CP1 Chucky. Usually they put up preorders just after Christmas, for a May - July manufacture date, and a shipping date of around October, so just keep an eye on their Facebook page :), and keep your fingers crossed that at least we get something we can mod :)

Loved reading this thread you really made the perfect Chucky doll.

Btw anyone know of a affordable wig i might be able to acquire in the UK? I have been searching for childs wigs and they seem very hard to find and when i have they are around £250 :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi everyone !
I'm looking for something since many weeks now and I don't know where to ask anymore...
Love this thread and I know there's many Chucky's fans there. So here I am !

I'm sorry cause maybe it's not the good place, but there's no special thread for Chucky's paper props and i'm desperate. I'm looking for a free version (pdf or other simple file) of the Good Guys doll's box and cereal's box ! Just like it :

Re: BUILD THREAD: 1:1 Scale Good Guy Chucky Doll

I finished the overalls this weekend. I could not find an accurate colored corduroy in the correct wale, so I custom dyed it. The screen-used cord was about 16 wale and was medium blue. Corduroy is very difficult to color match because it photographs very differently depending on the lighting conditions. The velvet fibers catch the light and make it seem much lighter than it really is. That's why the overalls in the movie look light at times, and other times very dark.

I also could be wrong about this, but the overalls in CP1 looked darker than the ones in CP2. I opted for the slightly darker look as I think it looks better.

I ended up purchasing a 16 wale corduroy that was sort of a light blue/aqua. I tinted 2 yards of it in my washing machine with 1 bottle of RITT Royal Blue and 1/2 cup RITT Fuchsia. That formula gave me an appropriate sky blue shade and helped neutralize the green in the fabric a little bit.

I applied the plastisol transfers with my heat press and they worked perfectly! Corduroy is very textured, so I was afraid they might not apply very well, but they ended up going on without a hitch:

I didn't bother documenting the sewing process since I covered that pretty well with the development of the pattern. Here are the overalls finished. I consider this a prototype. I'm going to make some slight adjustments to the pattern on my next set. I think the overall straps should be about 1/4" thinner:

I shortened the red collar on the shirt a little. It was too high (you can still see the original collar height in the last picture of this thread since I took that picture earlier)

The wig is temporary because I finally received my samples from the good folks at National Fiber Tech!!! This is the same company that made the wigs for the original Chucky dolls:

This is the same modacrylic fiber that his hair was originally made from and it has a very unique texture. It's very straight, but has lots of volume like Chucky's original hair. All the wigs I found are silky, meant to simulate human hair, so they lay much flatter. I'm very happy with this little discovery because the texture and color are perfect--the last piece of the puzzle:

I know this thread is a little old, but Mr. Nagata, I was wondering if you'd be so kind as to tell me which color number you ended up using on the hair you bought? I'm attempting to order some for my replica but I can't seem to match the shade you have. Thanks!

Loved the thread. Not sure if you ever intended to add an audio module but ive been working on cleaning up some audio to use fir a voice box version of the good guy dolls. I would live to speak to you directly if possible.

Don’t know if this is the proper place to ask or not, but I’ll try anyway. I’m looking to buy a Good Guy doll soon, and wanted to take it to Flasback Weekend in Chicago in August to get it signed. Brad Dourif and Alex Vincent will both be there. My question is, if you guys were going to get it signed, where would you get it signed? Could sign the box, if you sign the doll itself where do you do it? Really don’t want it on the face or clothes. I was thinking one signature on each wrist under the shirt. Thoughts?
