The Star Wars Q and A.

Janson! Haaaaa I knew one without having to look it up..... Woohoo. I knew a few really but others got there first.

Question. If an X-wing has wings like an X and a Y-wing looks like a Y...... why is a B-wing called a B-wing?

That is a tricky question. I once read three explanations for that:

1) Because it is short for "Blade Wing" because the plane looks like a blade from certain angles.
2) It was designed as a bomber - hence the "B".
3) If the ship is rotated so that the cockpit is down it remotely resembles the small letter "b" when viewed at from the side.

Of course all three are wrong because the "B" stands for "Bandai", predicting that a Japanese company would produce the finest SW models ever in the future. ;)

What was the name of the company John Dykstra founded after SW and what was his first "assignment"?

BAM!

Lorne Peterson
Richard Edlund
Dennis Muren
Joe Johnston
Steve Gawley
...

:)

Next question:

How were the Theed waterfalls in TPM created?
