Looks awesome! I'm working on my Daniels hat once my flight wings patch comes in. I was going to try making my own stencil for the circuit board but your eBay link is easier. I'm using a late 1980's East German Wintermuetze, Ushanka-ish army issue hat, that I'll dye to a chocolate brown, stencil the circuit board to the brim and as the thick stripe on the back of the hat, and sew on the patch. Thank you for the stencil tip! My free-hand circuitry is no good.

If anyone wants to know that exact camp mattress, it's the ThermaRest RidgeRest SOLite, my best guess is Regular length. I work at Recreational Equipment Inc (REI) and I see these camp pads 5 days/week. They were the first thing I identified exactly when seeing Covenant, other than some of the military surplus gear.
As for the backpack, I ordered a Medium ALICE pack from Fox Outdoor Products in olive green, in the absence of clearer pictures. I'll have to pick up the Making Of Covenant book to see what I can gleam. But this thread, and indeed this website (I'm a newbie) has already proven invaluable to my costume recreation. Thank you guys so much.

I got my quilted German parka liner today and have already started sewing patches onto it. After I get the circuit board design stenciled on I'll post pics.

It has the size and look of a children's book as it so thin (111 pages) Glossy hardcover. Paper could be better; came slightly warped from moisture and there's no protective clear so the pages will show finger prints.
However it's full of good costume reference pix I've not seen anywhere else. Interviews with each cast member. Janty Yates interview is good and compliments the Adam Savage video interview.

I just got 3 pairs of surplus (old) Swiss Army wool gaiters. Why did I order 3 pair, well because they're old military surplus and they were cheap and if there's one thing I know about surplus goods it's that they can come in various conditions. I was correct.
The 3 pair are all more or less mismatched and 2 or 3 of them have repairs, stitching, patches, tape etc. But since I ordered 3 pair I can make 1 pretty good matched set.
