Am I wrong to find it amusing (and more than a little sad) that instead of making their own high-quality and accurate kits, Revell now just slaps their logo on other companies' better kits? I'm certainly happy for our European friends that they will more easily have access to Bandai quality.

And I've ordered almost every 1/72 OT model +1/144 walkers from US amazon yesterday... I can still cancel it, cause I'm still waiting for restock of the few models, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Who knows what exactly models will we get and how much will they cost, etc. etc.

I feel like I'm making excuses lol.

So I'm hoping the B-Wing will also make it to Revell. But no doubt the price don't be much different to importing yourself now. Plus I probably can't wait that long.

I have no problem with this. It's good business.

Not amusing. Sad. And a bit offended. Why should I give them money for not even trying to get out good stuff by themselves? I'll keep ordering directly the Bandai offerings.

Its the way Revell works....even going back to the old snap-tight Falcon with the thick walls....it was a re pop of the die cast Code 3.....the Battlstar Galactica kits were Moebius....The only difference here is that the Bandai logo is still on the box....beside the Revell one

I just like to see content creators be able to market and sell their products without a third party stepping in to get their cut because of some previous licensing deal or agreement. If I put the time and effort to develop and produce a product my customers want, but some other businessman steps in and says, "I'll let you sell your product, but you have to put my logo on it and give me a cut," I'd likely think it's just one more unnecessary BS hoop to jump through. Of course I'd take the deal -- I want to sell my product -- but I'm not going to lower my cut. So who ends up paying more for the glory of having Revell's logo on the box? Us. The customers.

BTW, this is in NOOOOOO way a huge deal. I'm not on any soap box. It's just a "huh" kind of discussion. :cheers

I just hope this encourages Bandai to make more new Star Wars kits.

At the risk of being accused of being on drugs: I find the lack of all new kits for 2018... disturbing.

It's not that you're on drugs, it's that you're not sharing! :p

What have we had and what are we getting for 2018 so far. B-Wing. Lando Falcon. Luke stormtrooper. Han stormtrooper. Death Star II. Mini Tantative. Death Star Attack (okay, maybe not new). ROTJ Darth Vader. R4-I9. Booster R2. Shadow trooper. Was the mini-Y-wing this year? Am I missing any?

I think releasing only one kit for Solo has limited the number compared to the last few years when they were promoting the previous movies. Plus, the PF Falcon was a pretty big deal.

Good refresher, they have put out a LOT of product this year.

Looking forward to 2019!

Well there's the VM AT-M6, the PG Millennium Falcon [Standard ver.], and the BB-8 [GLOSS FINISH].

As for the Y-Wing, the set with the X-Wing was released this year, but the VM Y-Wing by itself was released in 2016.

You have a very liberal view on what constitutes an 'all new' kit. :lol

Shadow trooper is just a plastic color change.
R2 is just a refresh of an existing kit. (Don't be fooled! She's just a regular Malibu Stacy with a stupid cheap hat!).
R4-I9 is a color change with 3 or 4 changed pieces for the head.
Han, Luke and Vader, possibly new, possibly reuse of existing sprues.
Mini kits are nice but throw-aways at the size and a retail of around $5. Bandai used to release those along with the regular lines.

If you are going to count the above, you might as well count the CC B-wing as a separate release, as it has around the same number of new parts as R4. :lol
