Airbrush compressor (What is yours?)

Hi great community of the RPF!

If you don't mind me asking, could you let me know what type of silent compressor you guys are using to paint a life size bust?

I am planning to start learning the skill from scratch and I am thinking of getting a suitable setup that will not be too noisy as I live in an apartment block with currently friendly neighbours.

I have heard of super silent compressors with a sizeable tank and wonder whether that would be the way to go.

My best regards,
Sunny

I purchased a Porter Cable brad nailer combo pack from Home Depot. I also picked up a moisture trap, and some quick release ends for the airbrush hoses. With this compressor, I have more options for use versus a small compressor. Oh, it's loud when the tank gets filled.

I would recommend a Jun Air compressor.
High quality and absolutely low maintenance.
They are super silent about the same noise as fridge.

I'm using a medium sized one and I'm super happy with it.

Check eBay u can find some used ones which are quite affordable.

i got a small compressor with a tank.
it doesnt have a makers name, but the serial label says model no. 186,
its very quiet and has a built in water trap connected to the tank.
it was quite cheap too.
i got the compressor, 2 airbrushes, an extractor/ filter and other gear for about £70 from ebay.

Thank you, matey. I really need to get a setup that is super silent like 30db and below I think. Cheers!

Mate, thank you for the suggestion. It is very likely this is the route that I will be taking. Cheers!

Mate, thank you for the idea. Do you use it to paint life size busts? Cheers!

Matey, does yours look like this the one from eBay?

AS 186 Complete Airbrush KIT Compressor With Tank | eBay

Yep, except in got more stuff, such as turntables, extractor and cleaner etc.
But I bought mine from a guy who bought it all but never used it, so sold it on as a pack.
The ompressor and brushes are the same though.
The gravity brush us ok but the other one isn't great.
I've bought a couple of new brushes since then, but the compressor is still good.
