As the story goes.. Vader killed Ben and picked up his saber as a trophy...........Just to built in a Sith-Crystal ;)
This is a clamp spacer from R.Empire and compatible with his Kenobi replica or a real parts built.
Just a bit of work to clean up some space and vintage parts and a real coral gem stone. What do you guys think?

I used the clamp spacer myself to build a crystall chamber.

I like it. It looks sithi-like.
And for everyone who wants to build a crystal chamber and doesn't know what outer part to use, romans clamp spacer do a great job.

Just curious what part you've used on the upper part, where the "diamond crystal" is positioned.

If you really want to place it in an Obi you have to cut/sand the edges from this upper part otherwise you won't get it inside the grenade ;)
Are you planing to install some red LEDs?

As far as my knowledge goes about crystals for lightsabers ... Jedi used real found and cut/polished crystals . . . where as Sith used artificially made synthetic 'crystals' for their cores ... looks rather good though Andy :)

Chaim

Amazing!
This is what I think :thumbsup

Thank you very much:) I like it how it turned out. And with only a handful of parts.. But I'm not 100% satisfied yet.:)

Thank you Sir. Your built is also very nice and I like the light-up:thumbsup
The diamond shaped glass stone is hold in place with a part of an old maglite. I have some red leds but they're on a larger circuit board..they doesn't fir very nice, unfortunately.

Thank you Chaim. You're answer means a lot to me:)
You're one of the guys who have a lot of knowledge and always helping me out. Keep up that great community:thumbsup

i really like this. nice design

Thank you, too. I think you can't go wrong when using some old vintage parts. Like on the OT Blasters.. If you're using remade props instead of real weapons, they cannot beat the look of a real thing.

A maglite, I see. Thank you. Now I have to search the basment for an old maglite ;)
LEDs are cheap nowadays. I got mine 1,20 € per 10 pieces incl. resistors.
When you use a synthetic crystal as chaim mentioned there would be one advantage compared to your coral you are using now. If you install electronics the LEDs would light up a synthetic colorless-clear or red-clear crystal in a really nice way I think.
Just some thoughts ;)

It is a really great design without LEDs, too :lol

Very cool man! I like the look of the red coral. I need to open up my RE Obi now and upgrade that spacer as well.
