Darth Vader ROTJ Stunt "Mother Thread"

Alright! I'm finally starting my build on this hilt. I do have a few more questions for everyone. So I'm using a 1.5 inch sink tube, and the same screws all of y'all used. My question is: how big do the holes need to be for the screws to fit? Are they just the size of the template? Also, how did you guys get the Graflex "squares" On the lip and above where the glass eye is supposed to be. I might actually need to get a new tube because I think it got too short. I think I'll use a friends drill press for those squares and to make better holes. Also, anyone know a good place to get 3d printed grips for this thing? I have a 3d printer so it'll be easier to do it that way.


Just a quick photo of me (poorly) cutting out the tube to get the Graflex lip. I messed up a little so I think I'll have another go at it with a new tube

elr02k: for my pins, i bought a set from the custom saber shop, also available at the graflex shop i think. The interior of mine had a pvc tube, so i just drilled a couple small holes and threaded them in.

Not perfect but was a fun build, next one will be a little better.

Somehow missed this... looks awesome!

Something about Vader sabers with the random crap all over them... love.

Necro posting here because I found a push button fuse in the wild and disassembled it. It's very believable that our mystery box is something like this, functionality wise it is the same size and come apart the same way.

Real nice detective work!
