Solo: A Star Wars Story

You should see my study... floor-to-ceiling wood paneling, spiral staircase... the works. ;)

Right there with you, Indy!

Here's my study:

WTF? If you are serious that you painted that then Wow! Amazing.

Thank you! Yes... and if I tire of the colour or pattern, I can simply paint over it :)

Do you live in a castle? Wait are you a princess? I didn't know rooms this nice could exist in Michigan.

Haha... i wish I did! It is a Victorian Farm House, though... and I've filled each room with this same vibe. :)

It's a Victorian wonderland!

I can't believe you painted the walls by hand. Amazing!

Thank you!

And yes... a Victorian (creepy haunted vampire mansion) wonderland is just what i was going for :D

Good heavens!! Extraordinary , do you hold Sherlock Holmes and other murder mysteries in the house? It looks like a film set. Deadpool would love all the katanas.

PS I meant to post midnight showings of Solo generated $14 million

Have a look at what adorns the door to the library ;)

"movie set" is also something I was going for.
Having grown up watching Hammer Horror films, I was always captivated by the castle settings in those films... and all of the subtle texture that was evident in the rooms that they inhabited.

Here is a quick look at some other rooms in the hose, though they are by no means complete:

Call me an old soul, but that's a beautiful home! I would my home to be as beautiful one day. One thing I've ALWAYS wanted was a wainscoted library/study with a cozy fireplace and a whole wall lined with old fashioned looking books. I've got the books, but unfortunately not enough room for all the ones I'd want nor the study with the wainscoting. At least I've got the cozy fireplace, though.

Disney slashes 'Solo' box office forecast as early ticket sales deeply disappoint[/h]http://www.latimes.com/business/hollywood/la-fi-ct-solo-box-office-20180525-story.html

"Ticket sales at U.S. and Canadian theaters are likely to total $105 million to $115 million through the four-day Memorial Day weekend, Disney said Friday in an email. That's a sharp cut from prior company estimates that ran as high as $150 million."

"The Burbank company hasn't revealed the full cost of "Solo," but Disney changed directors midway through production and undertook costly reshoots. Variety put the budget at more than $250 million, before the tens of millions spent on marketing."

"Early international sales, a crucial revenue source for Hollywood studios' biggest productions, also look slow. "Solo" opened in first place in many territories, with an estimated Thursday-Friday tally of $11.4 million from 43 markets, Disney said Friday. But in China, the movie looked set to earn just $10 million over the weekend, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The only major market not opening this weekend is Japan."

--------------

Going by the old twice the budget rule of thumb to be considered successful or at least sequel worthy.
Thinking the magic number could be $600M.

Seems very unlikely given China isn't going to pull "Ranger Solo" over the finish line.
