The really clean lines and attention to detail are amazing. Can't wait to see the finished product. Did you create the .pdo yourself? Thanks for sharing and good luck with the rest of your build.

Thanks! The chest piece I drew myself. The rest was from 405th templates with a few tweeks.

Looks awesome, but it looks like the chest piece is upside down compared to the template? I could also just be looking at it wrong.

I did a double take when I saw how tight the lines were. Excellent job on those edges!

Thanks man. It's all about new blades. Ha!

I drew the chest piece myself using what I liked from a few other builds I researched.

Unfortunately, I won't be adding much for the next week or so because I am ready to begin to do strapping, but, I don't have any yet! LoL.

Detailed Pic of the back. Raised detail with 5mm (pink) and scarred with a pen the lines for detail. I hope to just be able to add black paint to indicate grime after painting to simulate seams and weathering.

The thigh pieces. I assembled the thigh with card stock to ensure a decent fit (keeping in mind that the foam is thick). Figured i could just curve the foam a bit and pin the paper in two manageable sections to transfer with a sharpie as shown. Later I will add layers of thinner foam for details to come soon.

In my opinion the 2nd hardest part of the build. The gauntlet (above) bows out at the mid forearm. I hope that the elbow guard wont cause problems when I try to attach it. I will likely add support foam inside.

Above is the inner vest I forgot to post earlier in the build. I see on most of the ODST stuff is that there is a vest underneath. So, I figured I could just add it into the framework for the cool details on top. :) Later it will be like putting on a real armored vest where it will open on one side and slide on like a shirt.

I tried to plan ahead and made it narrow on the front for better movement with the arms and a gap at the abs because I'd like to bend over to adjust boots, pick up things I drop and that whole trying to sit down thing.

Going to try to add raised detail to the inner thigh with 3mm instead of trying to cut out the section like the 3D model suggests. Should give the same look. Numbered them so I don't forget to put them on in the right order. :p

So... hot pink. Ha! The 5mm will be used to hopefully add detail panels (As suggested in the 3D model) on the outside of the thighs.

Under vest pics showing how I will try to minimize having too many buckles to get in and out of it while trying to stay true as I can to the game uniforms. Velcro (probably going to have to ad buckles too to keep from opening on itself later.

How I went from paper pep to foam.

GAUNTLETS!

is this a reach or halo 3 one

I think it's Halo 3, but the chest piece is something I did freehand mashing up the looks. All of the pieces typically started out from the 405th files under ODST

Outer thigh details added. Not completely happy with it... but deadlines man! LoL The full body-ish shot to show how its coming along as a whole. Yes, I realized the details on the gauntlets are on backwards. (Shrug) Shins coming soon!
