my Ghostbusters props

I had to do a little digging, but I was sure I'd seen a pic of Dan Aykroyd holding this prop as well.

In fact, this is what inspired the pose in the photo above, the one you asked about.

Both photos were originally contributed by Cyland Props in this thread on GBFans:

It's nearly impossible to make it out in the film. During the 'ghost jogger' section of the montage, we don't see Dan Aykroyd's hands very clearly. They're out of frame in his closeup and too distant (or obscured by foreground action) in the wide shot.

However, if we jump to a leftover snippet in the end credits montage, there's a brief glimpse of something that might be the sound level meter, in his left hand.

He appears to holster it or put it in his jacket pocket as he walks over to Bill Murray, because by the time they do their celebratory dance, his left hand is empty.

So the behind-the-scenes pic is the best evidence in this case... unless the just-announced GB2 Blu-Ray has a better picture quality.

Alas, it has only been announced for a French release, nothing in the US yet, but... c'est la vie.

I removed the existing decal from my ERB 906 hardhat:

And then cut down a real 1982 'No Bozos' sticker:

I also cut the framing rectangle into two pieces around the inner Bozo logo circle. This allowed the top and bottom halves to overlap each other, so that when the Bozo circle was put atop them, there was no yellow hardhat showing through at the gaps.

I even tried to get the wrinkles as close to the pattern on Venkman's as I could.

Now to make a 100% decal for the back.

All of the 100% stickers I can find as reference are either red and BLACK or they have the blue and red fields reversed.

So I had to create an image in paint.

This is just a test that I printed for size and placement. Not quite there yet, but promising.

I estimated the height at 1.75" but now it looks a bit too large.

I took a carload of my props across town to the Zodiac Theatre to shoot some promos for our upcoming Ghostbusters-themed improv comedy show.

After everyone else left, I figured I might as well get some good shots of my gear under the stage lights.

Despite purchasing it last year, I had never photographed my Acme-Chaston first aid kit (seen atop the refrigerator in the 'Mood Slime' scene) but I brought it with me because I remembered seeing a Dustbuster backstage during one of our last improv shows.

New question...

Can anyone give me some model info on this Seiko travel clock?

https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/t1/1959810_532370750209826_1741117670_n.jpg

Not sure how much this is going to help, but I searched a bit and found this. Color scheme is obviously off and it's technically a desk clock, but it's the only thing I saw matching the pattern on the face of the GB clock in my hour of looking. I was noticing that about 99% of Seiko's travel and desk clocks used roman numerals and numbers, while the GB one had only lines to mark the hour. Dawned on me that maybe it was made in Japan and adjusted my search to find this. Pretty sure the writing that's illegible on the screenshot of the GB clock at the bottom says "JAPAN" with the special "S" symbol next to it.

Found it on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/89043130/vintage-seiko-desk-alarm-clock-beautiful?ref=market

Thanks for looking! I had to cue up the deleted scene again to watch it. But as sometimes happens with screencaps, when the clip is in motion it's easier to make out that the word at the bottom is 'quartz'.

I could make out "quartz" from the screengrab, I meant what's below the line for the 6th hour. If you look at the picture I posted, you can see it far more clearer.

Getting the Beckman pH meter made me want to look for a more accurate set of Zener cards.

Not quite perfect, but closer than the previous deck.

I was able to use some photographic sleight of hand to fake this pic:

The search for the perfect deck continues!

On Saturday, I attended my third APF in Birmingham.

For the 30th Anniversary, the Alabama Ghostbusters did an interactive screening of the movie.

I got the plum role of Venkman, which meant I did NOT have to be covered in marshmallow at the end.

A clip of us trapping Slimer... it gets good at about 50 seconds in.
