Qui Gon Jinn lightsaber 3d print

Prototype done. Made some changes and will pass it on to one of my beta printers. He was looking forward to a qui gon saber.

Probably the sleeve is too thick compared with metal version.

Appart from that, why do you print body in white? Maybe you would save in black.

Sleeve is only 2mm thick. Any thinner and it’ll be too weak for 3d printing.

I printed it in white because that’s all I have. Lol

Now you can put that pattern in a metal tube and cut it with Dremel and patience.

Actually, that's not a bad idea.

I think the real prop had a mix of metal and resin parts... if you were to... expand the outer sleeve? It could literally be a template for cutting the shape out of the correct metal tubing!

Either way, these are remarkable. Nice sculpting work!

Finished printing a final version of the Qui Gon lightsaber. All the parts fit together nicely and with a little bit of sanding and some paint I think this would look amazing.

I may put this kit and an obi wan tpm kit up for sale soon, so if you’re interested check in the junkyard later.
