I started playing around with the finger pieces today and to be honest i'm happy with the results - Only done 2 so far but i'll go ahead and do the whole set later:

Ignore the roughness of the mmiddle circle - this will be covered up with the lighting/plastic cover

Finished the legs pretty much. The gold has a nice shine to it thanks to the clear lacquer

Then I painted the helmet so thats pretty much done too, it just needs the electronics

Good thing you're up north and we can't accidentally bump into each other... Well done bro, it looks awesome!

Thanks Matt, loving your build btw.

UPDATE: the plastic tubing i've used between the fingers work great and it also bends so i can bend all fingers.

Hey man, looking great! If you don't mind me asking, what foam did you use? The eva, or the foam sheets? Trying to decide which one to go with and would love the help.

I just made the whole suit in the rollup foam camping mats that can be found anywhere:

Some people change the thickness of the foam throughout the build but mine seems to be going ok so far

So i bought 2 headlamps at the £1 store..... Took out the main lighting part, kept the wire and the battery pack. The circular light casing fits perfectly in the hole in the middle of the gloves.

The main pose you do when wearing an Iron Man suit is showing your hand and its repulsor so I wanted to make sure the hands looked better in this build than my last. I'm happy with the outcome tbh:

Another quick update:

Nearly done with the painting of the suit. Just working on the pivets for the joints and the chest electronics :)

Everything's looking great so far Davey! If you don't mind me asking, what thickness is the foam you're using? Cuz I'm looking at these camping mats at REI and they seem to be about 10mm thick.

Holy smokes mate... You are almost done with you're second Mark VI and I'm still on my first one...

I'm fiberglassing right now using EpoxAmite 100 but some how when its all dry and sold I feel the dry resin a bit greasy... don't know if that will affect me when applying the bondo later on...?

Greasy? like slightly sticky aswell? I think it should be ok if you've followed the instructions on the pack/tin it should be ok! Keep us posted on the progress!

Yeah you can say a bit sticky as well. But mostly a bit greasy... I'm still fiber glassing... had some car problems since Wednesday and didn't get a chance to work on fiber glassing. After fiber glassing everything I'll be cleaning it up with a dremel and paint stripper on some parts then heating up the parts to mold them if they got warped... Then I'll let you know how the bondo came out. :)
