My "8 foot" Star Destroyer Build

Thanks for the words of encouragement, joberg!

mgriffin, I have a feeling I don't! :angel Progress has been slow lately. I'll hopefully have something to post in a week or so...

You missed a kit,.... The MPC Darth Vader TIE Fighter.

Thanks for the info, scratchy. I'll add it to my list.

I do find this very interesting. Did they actually use parts from that kit on the original Avenger, or was the part scratch-built for both and cast for the MPC Kit later - making that model an easier source?

This stuff is so cool!

They used three parts that I know of. The small rectangular piece that caps off the back square centre tube of Vaders fighter,.... that is in the main hanger. They also used the two inner wing rectangle detail parts. They can be found on the secondary engine housings.

Hey guys,

Still heavy in the part ID phase. I am concentrating on the front of the bridge although I have bits and pieces ID'd around the whole bridge unit.
Staring at this for hours produces head-aches! Could anyone help me ID any of the following?
KnownParts_Faciaaa1.jpg

#1 I believe is from the Enterprise or the Hornet, but nothing seems to look just right?
#2 Perhaps from some armor?
#3 Looks like an under-structure of a vehicle?

Thanks for the help!
(btw - green is known, red is 'looking for')

I assume it is not part of a ship. It looks like a grill to the front of a truck or something. I can't believe this one is so hard to find - I must not have the right kit?
Here is a pic of it from the top (thanks to MonsieurTox's post for the pic)

Made some more progress on ID'ing bridge face parts, including making a decision on part #1 above.
I could still use some help with #2 and #3 (among other things :rolleyes)

Thanks for any help!

Awesome! Thank you Gentlemen!

The Quad Gun Tractor is the kit that has not yet arrived....I think it is coming from Japan, but I just looked up a scan of the parts and there it is! eagle1, you are a prince!

Thank you MonsieurTox! I decided 1 was from the Hornet after a LOT of staring at the parts side by side next to reference photos - and the Revell Massachusetts...I don't have that so it's time to eBay....and I'm IN Massachusetts - LOL! :lol

Thank you both!

Good luck on this ambitious build Govner. And thanks for repopulating the kit scan section.

Thanks Scott - I'll need it!

Having all those kit scans would have really helped me in the very beginning, so I hope they will help someone else - I'll put up more as I get them.

I have to go out of town until late next week, so I'll be going dark for a few days - hopefully I don't forget everything! :wacko
