Solo: A Star Wars Story

It's amazing how the right song can make any movie look awesome.

Which is not to say that I'm not tentatively positive about Solo, but rather that, set to Sabotage, it looks awesome, which is kind of how when set to Bohemian Rhapsody, Suicide Squad looked like a ton of fun. (It wasn't.)

Sadly I enjoy the trailers more than the movies themselves anymore. I contend that the Man of Steel Trailer is still one of the best I've ever seen. Far better than the movie itself.

Man of Steel and Star Trek Generations are my personal benchmarks for amazing trailers to MEH movies.

One interesting note about modern music in Star Wars....My ex HATED the entire franchise. She wouldn't sit down and watch a single one them; however, she absolutely loved the Rogue One trailer set to Sabotage, as well as the OT in GOTG style trailer...She even requested for me bring them both up on YouTube to watch quite often. I would venture to say it was the slight generation gap between us that made her more interested in the "hip" versions. She was younger than myself, and honestly, quite childlike in every single way.

My new girlfriend, on the other hand, is an OT purist and even has a high SWIQ, so one might describe her as a "keeper." ;)

Lol...you've definitely traded up. Nice goin'!

The Wook

Baloney. Han knew those spears pointed at him were sharp, and was ready to draw his blaster to show 'em who's boss. He didn't misjudge them. His mistake was listening to Luke.

But the point is, it never should've been written that way. It made Han look like a complete wuss.

Not just Han. What about Chewie?
I was ten in '83 and I loved, and still do, ROTJ but I never liked our heroes tied to a pole. I always wanted to see the scene where the just lay back and let the Ewoks restrain them but there wasn't one because it was so implausible.

Want to weigh in - Ewoks: have no real feelings about them, they’re kinda weird and I guess I appreciate that.
Beastie Boys: I HATE that terrible, terrible band. Their music ruins everything - I even resent their slight influence on the new trilogy.

As for ‘emasculating’ Han... well that happens to the best of us occasionally, nothing to freak about.
