E11 blaster from scratch 2 week build

Ok I’ve made 2 boxes for the Hengstiler counter, they now have to dry over night so I can sand them down

I’ve cut some 19mm white plastic ABS pipe down and stuck it in the oven for 10mins and flattened it down

The white plastic can now be used for thinner / smaller details on the Heng box

I can’t do any more work on the boxes as I need to let them dry and sand them down

I’ve added to the cap end a small detail that also needs to dry before I can sand it down

Also having a test fit of the folding stock to the underside, the new 1.2mm stock hasn’t turned up as yet

That’s all for this evening end of day 6 ( I think ) I’ve lost count
Bed early I’m tired I’ve a long long day tomorrow

Nothing to show for tonight
I’ve sanded down the heng counter box and started to cut and stick some side details on BUT I was looking at the wrong drawings and cut them all wrong so I’ve peeled them off and now I’ve to let the glue dry overnight before I can sand away the residue and start again ( to many crap drawings flying around on the internet )

I’m also tired and not concentrating and to top it off my rotator cuff in my right shoulder is absolutely killing me
hopefully more to show tomorrow as I’ve a short day

Ok so update time
I’ve cut and stuck some pieces ( roughly I may add ) on the heng box, the glue needs to dry so I can sand it down and add a couple of more pieces ( mmmm not very pretty) but it will be
fingers crossed

im now working on the magazine, I’m using a more ridged plastic, after I flattened it out via the oven again I’ve found that this plastic is harder to cut so I might revert back to my waste pipe plastic
8CA1B545-3D89-434C-8A05-9DC39FB815DC.jpeg
There’s more pieces to cut, I will do them tomorrow along with the rear sight
ive also sanded down the sticking out bits on the end of the end cap and inserted/ glued a cross member for when I cut the end of my barrel to help secure it, I was going to glue it straight on the end, but I changed my mind

This is awesome, thanks for sharing all of your work. I'm impressed with your use of materials on hand, rather than going out and buying sheets of styrene and the like. What are you using for t-track?

The T track is something that I did buy in for my custom light sabers over 12 months ago

hi zsherman I really appreciate your reply and would love as many measurements as possible, measurements in mm if possible and they really don’t have to be exact just as close as possible, this build is not going down as screen accurate just for fun
here is a pic with numbers written on if you could just reply with the numbers and relevant measurements
many many thanks

Ben

I started work on the scope
i started with a cheap pair of binoculars that I picked up from a car boot sale for £2
the small lense nearly fit inside the 15mm plastic pipe, with a little help from my dremmel and sanding the inside edge of the pipe it fit snugly inside
35305A1C-B765-401F-9A3E-D3A702D68239.jpeg3836E9B2-0ED4-4DE2-84B6-9BA2A08F6185.jpegE431858C-038C-4F40-8975-CEFE9B29F412.jpeg
For the larger lense I used 1.1/4 waste pipe that was the same size of the larger lense, again I had to use my trusty dremmel to sand away at the inside edge of the pipe for the lense to fit

I then cut some pipe to length for the rest of the scope, one piece I had to cut and pop it in the oven so I could re-roll it into a 26mm tube then re-glue it

BCA9EB42-A42D-470D-AD94-E3DA869237CC.jpeg
For the Sloping piece I cut lots of lines in the pipe so I could pull the edges together and glue inplace with a cable tie around the 26mm piece

I then started to put end caps on for gluing it together
F247D29A-2709-4C6B-AF37-99E664AFB7A1.jpegC1279C77-FA05-4C0E-A144-15B1E6811CE8.jpeg0F990977-4340-4A5D-A29D-D663E6BBD9DD.jpeg6E45D138-B9BC-4B87-9192-D06E94E1A753.jpeg40A81209-A6AA-4030-ADB2-7FFFEC5F347D.jpeg
After the glue had dried I gave it a quick sand down, tomorrow I will add some filler and brackets then rub down again
F1CE96A1-AC44-405C-9E45-61E5E6277795.jpeg
I worked on the end cap, I made it so it twists and fit with the lugs I glued in the back of the cap, I also cut and fit the rear sight

I cut and heated up some more plastic and shaped it for the end cap strap bracket

Thats where I’m at for the end of today, more to follow tomorrow

Update time

but first......its my 50th birthday today and I’ve had a great day
ok so let’s begin
i folded the new 1.2mm stock and decided to try and make it a functional folding stock, with some 12mm plastic tube, glue and some rivets, it does work but it needs to be adjusted a little here and there, but it’s only for show

329D958B-6782-4628-8E4D-F88F991AA860.jpeg8C9F9A85-695C-42C3-8194-652179F520E0.jpegAAAA3A79-07C9-49AB-8BE6-B6A9634B570F.jpeg972F5F03-E934-4165-B25F-1F51C6188A81.jpegE73F5499-4331-42C7-B8A1-0A9CEDCEEC07.jpeg
I made a scope rail, filled the scope with filler and sanded it down, I also added 3 pins on the heng counter
9ED3CEF6-E9B5-4D3E-BBC0-BB935E5E7482.jpeg
I’ve started the main grip and trigger housing but having a little trouble, I think the grip is going to stop me from getting this done by Friday night
so this is where I’m at, still loads to do including painting

Update time

To say i was suppose to have 3 days off, it’s been a very busy 3days !!! I think my beautiful wife and son had other plans than me just working on my E11 blaster, (My wife) “can you fix this, fix that, .can we go here, can we go there !!!! (My Son) “can you make me a neuroliser, can you make me a noisy cricket”,

Then my step son who’s coming up from London to stay over the weekend asks “can you help me finish my proton pack” ( WHAT ABOUT MEEEEE ! )
but I really don’t mind, I enjoy it.

I’m supposed have this finished by Friday night before my birthday party on Saturday, but !!! and it’s a big BUT, it’s not going to happen :( I’m going to have to finish it next week, apart from having to many things to make, mag, handle/grip/trigger, bracket for the heng box, the bracket for the power cylinders inc the power cylinders and a couple of other things, it’s just a little to much to get done for Friday night.

My beautiful wife has asked me if she can now have her dining room back for the weekend as we have visitors staying for the weekend, soooooo tomorrow night I will do a couple of little bits then pack it away until next week.

so what I did this evening
i primed and painted my scope ( could of done with a little more sanding) but the pressure is off for finishing so I can revisit that, I will also get some bronze buff and might try a little weathering, something I’ve never done before but I’m will to give anything a try, I was originally going to lay a bronze coat under the black for weathering later but in a rush I forgot to get bronze paint.

I had some silver foil tape, so I put some on the bolt, quicker than painting

I primed and painted the barrel, end cap and heng box, I ran out of primer so I couldn’t do the scope rail, primer is now on my shopping list for tomorrow.

So so this is where I’m at this evening

i will try for some more progress tomorrow night
