Studio scale question

Studio scale is the actual scale of the scale models used by the filming studios, which use scale models in such a way as if the used scale model apears to be in the same scale as the scale of the of the environtment in which the scale model has the apearance and dimensions not that of the filmed scale model but that of the scale fitting in that environtment, which also could be of a different scale than the scale they eventualy need to have the whole (scale model and the scale environtment)to look to be in which ussualy but not always is that of the same scale as the "life size" actors who apear in that environtment who in their turn also could be of a different scale(forced perspective).

Right?

Yep, the point of "studio scale" is that people try to copy specific screen-used models EXACTLY. So they build it in whatever scale the SFX crew built that model in originally, whether it was large or small.

Studio Scale really has nothing to do with scale. It's more just the name of the hobby. Studio scale modeling is trying to match the filming models in size, parts used and to some degree techniques used. There's a lot of controversy and infighting on the subject, especially on how accurate the model needs to be when it comes to shape and hard to find kit bashed parts. But that's just my opinion.

Oh god, here we go again! :facepalm

Right?

Shouldn't "life size" actors be more accurately stated as "full scale" actors? :D
