Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

I'm a bit confused. Isn't that thread about a year old. Are you talking about the one that has been out for a while and available? Or is there a new, better one coming down the pike?

If deAgostini releases another Millennium Falcon that would be... well... unexpected. :) I think we are now talking here about ANH 1/72 Bandai Falcon soon to be released.

Yes, that is the thread that is. About a year old, for the Bandai. I was about to take the plunge and start a subscription on the Deag. It, if there is something else truly big coming down soon, I suppose I should take a breath and research that a little bit first.

As far as I know nothing else that big is going to be released in the near future. I don't think there is a market for it now, since pretty much everyone who wanted to get the studio scale model is now stocked with DeAgo Falcon or Master Replicas one.

I'm not quite clear on your post, or it hasn't been responded to in the right way. There is a new Bandai MF in 1/72 coming out this summer. The older Bandai kit is 1/144.

That seems consistent with the chatter. I got the impression that SOMETHING new was coming out, just couldn't quite figure out what that something was going to be. Thanks.

Yea, its actually pretty exciting. It's the first accurately reproduced 5ft Falcon ever. Obviously much smaller at 1/72, but the shape and detail appear to all be there. Can't count their 1/144 offering because the sidewall detail was modeled after the CGI TFA Falcon (kind of). It only took 40 years!

Any subscribers get their 'missing pieces' from Deago yet? Im referring to the 'found' pieces that the original kid didnt come with.

I just remembered reading on the Deago forums that there were some parts discovered after production started. Deago said they would make the parts and send out a another packet with the missing parts to subscribers.

As of 6/28/17...

"We would like to update you on the progress that has been made with the issue of providing the missing greebles that were not included in your original kits.
In investigating this, we have discovered that while these parts were present in the original scans that our model was developed from, the physical prototype which was used as a reference during the development of our model suffered some damage. This damage was very slight, and although it resulted in a few small greebles coming loose, this went unnoticed at the time. Due to their not being present on the reference model, at some point in the factory production, these parts were mistakenly omitted from our version, due to an error in communication concerning which was the definitive version of each of these parts.
We have extensively checked these differences to confirm that these are the only parts of the model which experienced this error, and that the model is otherwise identical to the original scans of the Lucasfilm prop. Once we had identified which parts had been omitted from our model (but were present on the original scans), we had to have these parts developed by our factory, so that we could send them on for approval from the current licensor (Disney).
We do acknowledge that this investigation and subsequent development process for these parts has taken some time, and we would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. The final, approved versions of these missing greebles have now been developed, and the factory is producing these units in the coming weeks before we distribute them globally – together with fitting instructions – which will be done as soon as possible.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued patience and support, and we look forward to sending on the finishing touches, and seeing pictures of your completed models!
Kind Regards,
DeAgostini UK"

Will never see them, now that I am going through a newsagent that actually delivers on time unlike the distributor. Thanks Bissett, still waiting for my Han solo and issue 22

Australia has missed out on the first upgrades and the cockpit nose cone. They just didn't bother with us so what makes you think they will bother with these extra parts. We will have to import them just like the others. Even though they say "globally". I go through my newsagents too as I trust them more. :)

Does anyone have a picture of, I believe the 5 footer, behind the raised rectangle portions on the top. The portions im referring to are the two rectangle sections that radiate from the center turret (The top side of the boarding ramp). There are a couple pieces of reflective tape on the back sides of those pieces and I would like to get the placement accurate.

Missing pieces can be found here for cheap (thanks Dyyst!)
