Hi Gang,
Not much of an update this time around. Too many unrelated things going on, work has somewhat stalled with the laser cutter down and our having to wait for material to be delivered. BUT KUDOS to Daniel for trying his best to get the laser cutter power supply working but it looks like we need a new one... ugh...
Anywho... One of the Nav Chairs (which I was hoping to make a LOT of progress on this weekend) was bugging me so I finally added more details and fixed a few errors
Adding some bolts
The back nacelles finally getting worked on and mounted
As you can see from this image the nacelle is touching the back part of the armrest - I have to move the armrest back 1/4"
I love to be able to finish these off and add the small pop rivet details but with the laser cutter down I'll have to wait for the laser cutter
Moving the armrest back 1/4" to help the nacelle fit required new holes to be drilled
Adding a bit more adhesive to the under layer skin
Adding more details
Filling holes
I was able to cut a few pieces of the 1" half round rubber strips but it requires two people to hold the strip in place while cutting
Two pieces fit here - 4 total on the armrests
One of the interior pipe details popped off leaving some ugly adhesive that I couldn't get off so I repainted and added the red detail
I like it
I added some felt pads to the back of the new console to help keep it from sticking to the corridor paint
And this...
Where we are!
