How to Display Cowls?

I just acquired several 89/returns cowls and I would like to have them on display. What are some options to display them?

I probably need some mannequin heads to allow the cowls to keep their shape. I found this styrofoam head at michaels (http://www.michaels.com/floracraft-...ml#q=styrofoam&pmpt=qualifying&sz=24&start=55) but it seems to be out of stock right now. Ideally I would like to have a bust with the head/neck/shoulders so that the full cowl can rest on it naturally but I can't seem to find any.

Yes, you want something that supports the scallops. Here's a custom stand I had made for mine. The Keaton insert is a full size "mask" that I stuffed with foam. I haven't seen too many of the full size Keaton faces, but you can find the face shells on eBay pretty easily.

I ended up buying a kitchen towl holder and a styrofoam ball, push the ball onto the kitchen towl holder and then put the cowl on that.

This is the most simple method and very effective.

Thanks, it was kind of a rare cowl so I went with the UV protected plexi.

It looks nice if you don't have a face insert.

I put some black felt behind the eyes and face opening to hide the rod holding up the cowl.

This is pretty cheap and should get the job done. Not sure how i can make the scallops of cowl to sit properly.

Wow that 2nd one is pricey. For the same price you could have someone fabricate something much more custom. I went with a display similar to that at first, but found it nearly impossible to fit my cowl over the head. Luckily the eBay seller I went through took returns.

Woah that second one jumped up in price. It used to be 24 dollars.

I ended up buying the black styrofoam one.
