Iron-Man Mark XLV Foam Build [Finished] (PIC HEAVY)

Hey whatsup bruh bruhs. Starting the 2016 with a new Ironman project. This time its the Ironman Mark XLV from Avengers Age of Ultron.

Yeah I know, F.R.I.D.A.Y. is the replacement A.I. of Stark, not a nickname for the XLV, but I'll call the suit "Friday" :))

I'll be using Helagak's Files which I unfolded myself for personal use. Also for the neck area I'll be using blackout's file. As for the helmet and the reference for the suit I'll be using Jung's helmet and reference file.

The forearm, shin and boots which is missing from Helagak's will be modeled by me in 3Ds Max. I asked Jung for help for the shins and he gave me his recovered unfinished shin file. I tweaked it in 3Ds max using his reference pictures and got something like this.

As you bruhs can see its not screen accurate but it works. I made the model to fit helagak's thigh area. I also modeled a knee cap armor but I haven't post it yet. About the shin and boot file, I'll be releasing them when I finished with my suit. 

I also started building the chest.

Once I've got all the parts done I'll be sealing them using spray gun and epoxy primer for smooth finish that my previous method of sealing using acrylic emulsion can't achieve.

I'll update this thread tomorrow hopefully when I have the other shin completed and hopefully get the back done.

What's this epoxy primer you're planning on using? I'm always on the lookout for a good foam sealer that's better than caulk or white glue.

Hi mate! I'm glad you're back at full throttle!!

EDIT: I was as at work so I could not read with enough attention. I'm super happy you'll release the missing parts. I cannot wait to finally finish my first complete suit after a serie of helmets+gauntlets :)

I cant post a pic of what I'm really using but I remember posting it somewhere over my mark 7 thread a while back. Might want to look over that thread bruh :) I also posted something about that product there.

no worries bruh, ill release them as soon as i get everything ready. .I'm also making a new shoulder bell based on the hot toys figure. hopefully it can be done asap.

A little update, I just finished modifying helagak's shoulder bell based on the hot toys figure. Using Jung's reference on 3Ds Max. Not perfect but "close" to the figure.

Note that I won't release this part because I just modify anothe person's model. So this part is just for personal use only. Full credits to helagak for the original model.

Interesting ergonomics of the more modern suits. I wonder how the foot/ankle is supposed to pivot. It looks very stiff.

Full respect to you guys who work with foam. It's hard to keep neat yet you do well.

-------somewhat update------

I haven't got some pics of the progress because I dropped my digicam on the acylic emulsion bucket and it got wet and total wrecked :( Bad luck gets me earlier. .I'm also making a Warmachine 2.0 at thr moment so I'm pretty much stuck on the progress for this guy. .
