Can anyone recommend which Dremel model I should get to replace the one that just died halfway through finishing the edges on my armor panels?

What model do you have? Contact dremel and see if they'll replace it. They are pretty good about backing their tools.

It actually has a chuck like a drill bit, so it can take many more attachments then my dremel ever could.
