This looks like almost an Adidas shell toe covered in some sort of rubber but the shell cut out

If you cut these off, covered the toe, and removed the logos, it might look pretty close.

Each unit has a strong magnet built in, so you can actually lock them together without glue.
The bottom unit in the movie beacon seems to have had the orange leds replaced with white ones. I'm going to make that mod on mine, then build up the top one as 'open' with perspex tube and run the ultra-bright white led in the top into the tube.

Looks like they added a mini pop up lantern into it?
This is certainly very close. Note the retaining clips on the prop. They spring off when the top pops up.

I got a better screen shot for ya. I think it's the contents of a safe deposit box.
On a related note, after hours of looking I found the silver bottle on the left. It's a MiiR Stainless Steel Insulated Howler Bottle, 32-Ounce.
