NEW inexpensive Indiana Jones GOLDEN IDOL (not licensed) $79

You're lucky your wife is supportive. My wife took one look at the toynk idol and told me to put it away because it freaked her out. I guess I'm never displaying the sskunky version with eyes.

Btw she didn't comment on the gold plating.

Guys, of course these all don't have perfect plating. Because of who we are we tend to be much more critical than most. Hell, it's 79.00 to your doorstep! If you expect a perfectly plated piece for 79.00, just don't bother ordering one, because if you do, you will look for something wrong, and if you look hard enough you'll find something.
i ordered five. I had my wife look at each one at arms length and she says all five are pristine. I'm willing to bet anyone that sees yours in your collection would think the same thing.

:lol. I would love to see her reaction to the Zundi doll used in “Triology of Terror”. :lol

Ok just unboxed mine and....I love it! No plating issues with the plating I can see. Here's pics! IMG_20180426_214515.jpgIMG_20180426_214508.jpgIMG_20180426_214527.jpgIMG_20180426_214553.jpgIMG_20180426_215927.jpg
The last pic is the idol next to my vintage Raiders comic book I've had since I was a kid.

Yours looks just about perfect! Mine's only a little messed up in the mouth, the rest looks pretty good.

As mentioned before, if you peel off the rubber pad on the bottom it helps with the stabilizing issue. Also, if you're so inclined, I only filled mine HALF in sand and plugged up the bottom. No way this sucker will top over now. However, if someone picks it up, they will feel the sand shift. But how often do your guests come over and just randomly pick up your display piece? :lol

I just got mine in yesterday and had to take some pictures. Here it is next to my bronze Hand-Schaub (which is aging beautifully). I took a few slightly different angles but no all angle pictures.

Looks really good and not as small as I had imagined.
Lovely bronze idol!

Thank you Mark. I took some from a bit further away with rotation for further comparison. It is a bit smaller, but the foam pad on the bottom does lift it slightly. It is really great for the money and now I won’t have to ever consider polishing the other one.

About as often as someone taps their ring to a prop to see if it is metal.
