Walking Dead Season 7

There was a cache of amazingly clean spent brass in the sand/dirt pile on the bridge that magically came crashing down when a bag was pulled from it. I dont see how the most hardcore porn stache fan of TWD can defend this past episode snore fest of bad writting, bad acting, bad camera work, bad editing, bad pacing... This has to be hands down the absolute worst its ever been. What happened to this show?

I was DVRing like I normally do, occasionally catching a few minutes here and there while flipping between (kid) shows during a commercial break while it was airing.

Just with those short glimpses and with the synopsis spoilers I had seen, this was probably the first time I had no desire to go back and watch the episode after my daughter went to bed. I probably will just outright delete it without watching at this point since it just seems like pure filler.

Although I haven't given up on the show entirely. I just wish they wouldn't do entire episodes with one character/group. Mix it up.

Also wasn't this episode like 10 minutes longer than normal. Why do they always stretch out the boring ones?

The casing could have been symbolic as well. Eugene could take it and say "This is for a 50 cal Desert Eagle. It will not fit your 9mm Beretta. Look, I have been collecting brass all day, here is what you will need", pointing to a shoebox full of 9mm brass.

Everything does not have to be so literal.

That would be Eugene literally making her the correct ammuniton after she brings him the incorrect ammunition. That is not symbolic.

Here's the genius part about what they did by splitting up this key group... they can draw out the Saviors basecamp stuff and Daryl/Rick storyline as long as they want since there's other relationships forming with the other communities the split characters have gotten themselves into. It's nice for their storyline and season expansion, but for me this recent episode was an extreme cliff dive off the momentum that had been gaining. I was hoping we'd be seeing more of the Saviors and that tension.

I'm sure in the grand scheme of it all these relationships are being shown for a reason because eventually there will probably be a banding together of an uprise against the Negan stronghold and need to take things in stride.

Still I think this episode (for me) was not necessary and a waste of time. I felt it could have been compacted within an episode while other stuff was being shown.

This was a slow one, was a real drop off all round.

I agree that this could've been part of an episode, was too dull for its own slot. Hopefully it will pick up next week.

Anyone else think that Beatrice looks like Ripley?

The ONLY reason I can see them justifying this episode is if this Oceanside group takes part in the Saviors' take down. I could easily see them setting up the final battle and Tara going back somehow (without getting shot) and saying "You want to get payback for all your husbands and sons?" Otherwise there was absolutely zero reason to show this group.

i agree with ya, they will restock alexandria with guns and ammo. IF it goes that way

Oceanside has an important role to play later in the series. Oceanside is in the books, although appears there much latter in the timeline than it showed up last weekend.

wow. Yeah she had a baby thus her hiatus from the show.

All I got from that episode is apparently going on a two week run in the apocalypse makes your Ta Ta's grow . like a lot . its almost like she had a baby or something .
Whole episode should have been 10 min of a real episode !

Forgot to add this to my bitch fest,

the fishing ladies stated the yappy saviors came and took all the males aged 15 and up, yet at the same time stated they kill anyone that they come into contact with (post yappy times obviously), which means yappy crew knows where fishing ladies are yet they do nothing about fishing ladies weapons cache? Im confused yet again or did I legitimately miss something IN THE SHOW.
Besides that im more than a little confused about logistics. Dr Dre and New Mommy left on a two week tour, mommy bumps her head off a bridge then washes up on a beach, then walks back to the compound in what seems like an afternoon after escaping fishing lady village. I assume that two weeks put them out near Savanna as if they went towards Florida there is a Naval base.

I thought the ladies said they found the fishing village after all the males were killed.

I guess just because they had been out for two weeks, it doesn't mean they drove two weeks in a straight line away from Alexandria. Maybe they had been just driving willy nilly searching for stuff. I'm not sure how far away the fishing village is. I suppose she could have walked 10 or 20 miles?

Not sure.

Damn! That is spot on!

And totally agree. People are far too literal. They complain in post after post how everything is so obvious in the show, and then will go on and on about a single shell.

You are correct. Grandma said they tried to fight so the Saviors lined up all males 10 and older and shot them. All the women then snuck out in the middle of the night with only the clothes on their backs.

Curious where they did find all that hardware though.

Yes the ladies escaped and moved to Oceanside after the killing of the men and kids. You missed that part. The Saviors don't always take weapons, Hilltop still has some. The only reason they took Alexandria's weapons was because two were missing from the inventory. They may have amassed the armory from killing everyone who wandered in.

that's correct. they found oceanside after the males were killed off. oceanside is where they transplanted and if they've seen a savior(s), they were immediately killed.

They took Alexandria's weapons because Carl pulled the gun on that guy.
