ESB DL-44 internet parts? New to blasters!!

Hey there everyone, looking for some help. Everyone was great in helping me build my ESB Vader and Luke Sabers which came out great! But I am now seeking help on Han Solos blaster. I didnt imagine things would be more complicated parts wise than for some of these sabers, yet here I am.

I recently obtained a Mauser replica from my dad. Coincidentally, I decided to build a DL-44, and the next day when I visited my parents I asked if he had any old guns. So hilariously, here I am with a Mauser replica that he got at an estate sale just that week. The seller claimed it was used in a movie back in the 60's, and has a lot of great real weathering. So now.......

TLDR

What are the best options for getting all of the parts? I'm not looking for it to be SUPER 100% accurate, but I would like it to be a very well done Bespin DL-44 from Han.
Relatively on a budget. I see DEC is doing a limited run of an M19 scope, but even if I did get it, I wouldnt know where to get a good mount for that one specifically. On top of the hefty price.

If I could get MOST of these parts in metal, that would be great. I have seen people talk about EVOLUTION props on ebay, and was curious how accurate they are? Because I would be willing to buy their mount and flash hider.

And outside of evolution props, how accurate would these alternatives be on shapeways?

Lastly, does anyone know what greeblies I need for the Bespin Han blaster? And where I can get some decent ones? Shapeways?

Many thanks!!!

Nunes I have read the tales of the mythical Boba Debt run. Ill send him an email or message, but assuming I dont get in touch, or he doesnt have anything left of his run, what are the best of the options above?

I don't believe it is an MGC because the mag and saftey does not function. Just the sights, hammer, and trigger. Much like a denix. It could quite possibly be a denix, but I do not know how long they have been around producing these. Assuming the seller was not lying about it, he apparently had the prop papers from the movie, but it wasn't something known or big, so my dad didnt really want them. Got it for $70.

newmagrathea Thanks for that post. I'll hopefully snag a flash hider from him! He also has brass pistons for the greeblies. I am curious which greeblies are necessary on Hans ESB blaster though.

There isn't much on Han Bespin. Should just be flash hider, scope, scope mount, scope bolts, scope mount hardware. There are no pistons and I can't remember if there is any invisible V8 parts, but I don't think there is.

newmagrathea So I see. Well Boba's run of the Bespin flash hider is the one that is more curved. Where I see most people that build Hans it has the more cone shape. Is it really just down to preference at this point unless you are making a Hoth blaster? I feel like I may be better off just doing Lukes

Luke's and Han's guns on Bespin are very similar, there is a slight difference in the scope mount, and the side ring on the scope. Also, it has been confirmed that both actors used both guns at different times. If I remember correctly, Luke's was the live fire and Han's was not, so anytime Harrison had to shoot they would give him Luke's gun.

Flash hider from evolution props works well but you will have to drill into to get it to work. For everything else..

Here is a great place (my designs :)

And for a more detailed scope

@chubsANDdoggers Thanks for those links! I really like your designs.
Looking at your Luke ESB kit, what parts should be in the bronze metal finish?

The scope end only. But if u want my honest opinion. Save urself the $$ and skip the metal. If u can paint (layering is all u need) just use the metallic. Save the money and use it towards a metal (or aluminum) flash hider as I did.

I will say though that my designs are as accurate as I could make them. You will need to buy the proper screws and tap the right holes (all info needed is in the listing). But ur build will be all the better for it.

@chubsANDdoggers Thanks, Im about to order greeblies and mount, but am waiting to decide on flash hider and scope. Is there any difference in the polished metallic plastic, and the black and flexible? I planned on painting and weathering anyway

Don't do black and flexible. Do either White and polished or metallic plastic. Black and flexible only for for scope body. It's only more work as u have to sand the black and flexible. But for the body it works out as it's suppose to have a grainy look to it.

Between white and metallic. Metallic is stronger but either will work.

Are u thinking about the DEC metal scope. It's very nice but they messed on the bottom front as it's missing a gap that should be there. But I've build a blaster using their scope and my mount will work for that. Holes might have to be drilled a little bigger in the mount if i remember correctly. Personally I prefer my detailed scope as it is more 1:1 to the actual prop. But both work really well [emoji1303]
