Darksaber & Satine portrait

More sanding, more spray putty... the whole day! But the print lines are almost invisible! :)

I just need to buy a masking tape and the actual spray painting can begin!

looking good man! last nights episode was real good, showed the final side of the dark saber we have yet to see!

Thanks! Yes, I liked it too. One of the best episodes so far! A lot of Mandalorians together always means a good show! Plus the portrait of Sabine's mother gives me an inspiration to expand my gallery :D
(and I really love Fenn Rau's armour!)

I finally got to paint the handle:

The masking tape was also delivered, so I can paint the rest soon.
I think I'll paint it silver (left side), not that blue-gray as it is in the show (right side of the picture). I like it more...

While waiting for the paint to thoroughly dry, I created a custom stand for the saber. I just need to decide for the colour.

And with the saber:

And I also painted the stand:

Now I need to wait until it's dry, paint the little white details on the hilt and weather it a little and it is done!

Unmasked!

And painting the little white rectangles on the emitter. I used oils, so I hope it'll look passable:

What do you think so far?

I freak'n love it!!! What colors did you use?! It came out great!

It turned out that the idea with oils wasn't the brightest in the galaxy, so I reworked it and used spray paints instead. It is almost done!

I'm not fond of the Rebels redesign of the Dark Saber myself but you have really done it justice. It looks great.

Dropbox if possible or maybe upload it to a website like thingiverse?

It looks great, the paint job is nice!

Thanks! It has been uploaded to dropbox :thumbsup

Thank you. I like both designs but this one gives it something more I think.

very very cool, i love it! :thumbsup

Thanks! I'm glad it turned out like this!

Now the darksaber is already finished! I tried not to overdo the weathering and I think it turned out great. And as for the stand... Let's say it sustained much more damage!
Here it is:

No, I didn't paint the little black lines on the emitter guard. I am not so confident to make such tiny details yet.

And for those who'd wish to print it, here are the files (try which one will work):

But keep in mind that it is not 100 % accurate for it was my first try on a 3d modelled prop. Please, if you download it, do not sell it anywhere. After all it isn't your work. ;)
But have fun with it!
