R.I.P. Burt Reynolds

Golden globe too, Not the role I remember him for either but it sure helped Burt out a lot and gave him a certain gravitas.


And it's the role for which he was nominated for an Oscar, so you can't say that it was insignificant.
But yeah, not what I remember him from the most either.
 
I don't think I've seen most of his movies, although I do remember watching the show, Evening Shade with my Dad.
I did however know his impact on movies.
 
rest in peace Burt. i grew up watching your movies, He WAS the cool guy. And still is. Gator, The longest yard, deliverance... :cry
 
Man, I remember the summer of 77 my small hometown two screen theater was showing both Star Wars and Smokey and the Bandit. The entire town was emptied as everyone was at the theater watching both those movies.
