I want to share this special project that was started over 2 years ago. Andrew Meyers and I in collaboration with our local machine shop TMM got together to create what we consider one of the most challenging props we have made to date, a full metal EE-3 Boba Fett Blaster replica for ESB and ROTJ. We funded 75% of the project, but for financial reasons and other prop projects at the time we had to postpone it. That's why I wanted to do an interest thread in order to see if more fans would like us to do a run so we can complete the project. Andrew Meyers is a veteran Hollywood prop maker, he worked for Stan Wiston studios and have over 30 years of experience in the business. Using a real Webley & Scott Mark 1 Flare Gun we were able to do engineering drawings to perfectly machine almost each single part. The trigger, hammer, trigger guard, grip and the stock greeblies were spin cast. Andrew Meyers made from scratch each greeblies and spin cast molds were made. The grip, trigger, hammer and trigger guard were molded from the original Webley and they were modified to work to fit the blaster frame. The attention to detail on this Blaster is stunning. We also scanned the original Webley & Scott wood stock and using a CNC router we made our oak stocks, the production stocks will be made of walnut like the original. The trigger is spring-loaded, and it will come with metal scope, steel stock bracket, screen accurate scope clamps.

For comments and suggestions and interest to join this project please feel free to leave your feedback.

Sincerely,

Manny E. Romero.

Hey, after reviewing the picture in more detail, there is something I don't understand in the way the stock frame and the grip are sandwitching. it seems in yours it's pistol frame/stock frame/pistol grip and I think in actuality it's always stock frame/pistol frame/pistol grip.
cheers

Interested in an ESB EE-3. Any info on timeline, price and whether offered as kit of finished.

Hi Eethan, here are more pictures. Here you can see how the steel (aluminum) bracket in the picture is attached, is exactly how is attached in the original Webley & Scott Mark 1 flaregun. We did a limited run of a resin version for both blasters while we were working on the all metal versions. This helped us to engineer the all metal blaster version better and to improve the prop.

Hi Johnny, thank you for your interest. At this point we are close to finish the first two prototypes, one for each version. We decided to do the ESB version first since this is the version we are closer to complete. The EE-3 all metal Blasters will be offered in kit, pre-assembled. With this thread not only we want to share our prop project with the fan community but also to see if some fans would be interested it. I want one for myself (the ROTJ version and the ESB version), Andrew Meyers too, and we already have two more fans that follows my Facebook page and they are interested it too. This is a very expensive prop to produce, and if more fans are interested it the production costs will go down.

Thank you so much. No kidding, this is one of the most ambitious prop project I had the opportunity to work with, besides the all brass C-3PO costume prop I made 10 years ago. Andrew Meyers and TMM actually have most of the credit, I have a 20% participation mostly in the spin cast area were I have a lot of experience. I am in charge of the spin cast greeblies, grip, and the wood stock.

You’re right. The stock bracket is not attached correctly in those pics. Should be an easy fix.

Hey Portumac, unfortunately, I'm not able to see your new pics, but for me the way the stock bracket is attached in the first pics you showed is wrong, if it's like that on your real one, then either you have an exeption or there are several variations of that weapon. NickCline just posted an album of his Webley for sale in the junkyard, there are good pics showing what I'm trying to say.
Can you try again to show a picture of that part? or maybe one from the other side of the blaster? there is none for now.
In any case, I really don't like to post interest in a Wip thread, but as you say you are looking to know how many people would be interested, I would be amongst them depending on the price. :)
cheers and great work again :thumbsup

Portumac by chance would you be making an 11mm dovetail scope rail section that the scope mount attaches too? That is the last piece that I need for my ROTJ build but cannot seem to find a source for.

Hi Matty, the metal blaster prototype in the pictures was not assembled, we didn't screw the parts in yet, here is a picture of the resin prototype version we did while we were working on the all metal version. The resin version was made by molding the original Webley & Scott parts, Andrew Meyyers did some modifications where the barrel connects, other than that once is assembled is identical.

Yes, thhose are some of the pats that we haven's machined yet. Again the all metal Blasters are at 75% completion now. The parts we still haven't machined are those blocks for the ROTJ mount, the mounts for the ESB version and two more parts that we need to make some changes. We discussed to offer these parts separately for fans that owns a Webley & Scott Mark 1. However Andrew Meyers made these parts out of resin for our resin Blasters versions, but as a fan and collector I would rather use metal parts for my Webley than resin.

Here are some pictures of a original 1915 Webley & Scott Mark 1 with our spin cast wood stock greeblies.
