The great Neil Simon passed away this morning at 91.

So many Great plays we have to thank him for.

An American Icon is gone....... :(

I think he's one of the ten great American playwrights. His plays have underlying pathos that elevate them beyond comedies while being truly funny simultaneously. All that "human condition" stuff that lit professors love so much.

I've read two of his autobiographies, and he seemed like a decent guy, too.

Rest easy, Neil.

The Goodbye Girl is one of my all time favourite films... Top Ten definitely .
Caught it on tv at just the ‘right’ period to have an influence in my young , confused (romanticised) life back then .
Thankyou Mr.Simon . R.I.P.

Rest in Peace,Mr.Simon. Thank you for your work that moved the world (The Odd Couple II is my personal favorite)

I loved his work and even got to see a couple of them on Broaday. I wonder how many of the younger generations don't even know who he is.

Definitely one of USA's best playwrights.
I'm a big fan of Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues, myself.
RIP, Mr. Simon.
