Quasimodo Darth Vader helmet - Version II

Those are some beautiful shots. Well done, even my wife thought it looked amazing, and she has a real one to look at in the house!

It's really nice to see one of my "kids" photographed so nicely. I usually cringe at the closely shot distorted mobile phone pics. Glad you like Quadimodo!

Hello there,

New member here, first post. Mac and Bookface, your work is simply amazing!!! I wish I could have just 1/4 of your talent. I have just discovered this website today, after being highly dissappointed by so many cheap knock-off (Rubie's, eBay, etc...) in the past. Should have make more research before buying (I usually do) but boy, am I glad now I have discovered this community. I obviously have some reading to do about the amazing work done here...Curious to learn about the process...

Questions: Are you guys working on other SW helmet projects? Been a huge SW fan all my life and I was thinking of starting my own private helmet collection.Unfortunately, I don't have the skills (or the time) to even attempt to achieve such nice work.

Thanks Dahak! Most people tend to specialise a little, so while we spend a lot of time with Vader, others will prefer Boba Fett, others do Stromtroopers etc. Shoot me a PM if you like with your ideas and I might either be able to help, or direct you to the best place for what you want.

Just received my Darth Quasimodo ANH.
It is just in one word: incredible.
Just like it was grabbed out of the screen.
Can't stop making mooneyes on it.

But at home, I am alone in this opinion...
My wife accepted for a few days that I put the helmet on the shelf.
Then I got a message on my mobile-phone, that the kids that are visiting my kids are staring with wide eyes at this 'thing' and that that they appear to be quite intimidated.
So I got a picture that my wife took and that shows how my wife looks at the helmet and I got the order to get the hell it out of the sight...

Original Darth Quasimodo ANH. Seen through the eyes of my wife.

So I took some pictures of the same helmet to show how it looks to me:

Did not help. Had to put this beauty upstairs... :rolleyes

Dump her.

That has got to be one of the most beautiful Vader helmets I've ever seen. ( and this is coming from a ESB / ROTJ vader lover) Congratulations on this epic piece of art acquisition!!
I'm truly jealous

Mac or Bookface, would you recommend getting both armor & helmet at the same time? Are each uniquely custom fit to the other as a pair? Or is it okay to get helmet, & then armor at a later date? I long desperately to add your Empire Vader & armor to my collection, if I would be able. Your work is second to none, & BY FAR the greatest looking Vader since the one seen on screen. & it's for a great cause to boot :thumbsup.
I'm trying to save money, but other things keep "popping up", in the bill dept, to interrupt - & deplete - the savings (i.e. Yippee, Christmas again... sooner than you think :wacko).

The answer to that is both yes and no. The helmets and armour were sculpted to work as a pair, but that design is built in. I do nothing after casting them to make them fit better together, so you can get a helmet now and armour later, and be sure of the same level of fit as if you had gotten them at the same time. :)

Sweet! That is great news!
Thank you very much. :)

Bookface may be making an announcement this month regarding the Quaimodo ROTJ, which is also built on my V2 platform. I'm looking forward to it myself as it's always really neat when one of my sculpts actually gets painted properly, as I'm hardly an accomplished painter. :cheers

Can not wait. So gonna have all three.(y)cheers

BTW (waving my hand) you will make the EFX style RMQ Vader next. Not the Rebels version, The original RMQ version.
