I finally saw this over Christmas. I'd give it a 2 outta 5. Entertaining but plot and storyline felt weak and contrived

I don't get the Cara Delevigne dancing complaints. They could have had her dancing for 2 hours and I would have been fine with it.
On some OTHER message boards (many of which basically endorse a no-holds-barred attitude, where being able to trash-talk over people, earns posters some kind of weird e-cred), I doubt your posting-style would've even raised an eyebrow. BUT, there is a fairly iron-fisted Code of Conduct in effect on this site (which is the main reason why "people are SO uptight on this forum", imo), & I have seen members temp- & perma-banned for exactly the kind of berating, belittling, insulting remarks, that you have been spitting at people for some time now.First of all I was kidding around. I'd been reading reviews, mostly here and worried 'sort of' that I too wouldn't dig the movie....and didn't get a chance to see it in theaters so finally saw it on DVD.
My first thought....what the hell are people complaining about? LOL...oh and that's rhetorical. I'm not really asking.
I dug the movie, and so did my wife and we agree usually about half the time when it comes to movies.
I liked this new Joker, loved Harley....the story felt like your typical Video Game...Gotta get to the top of that tower - sort of thing, like Dredd....
Batman, Joker and Flash cameos were cool but this wasn't a Batman or Joker movie per say so I was fine with it being about this Suicide Squad.
Was my childhood raped? Please...lol.
Fun movie, worth the two hours. Oscar winner? Yea No! But at least I didn't feel like I wanted those two hours of my life back. No, that was the first THOR movie, Avengers 1 & 2 and Iron Man 2. Yea those I did not care for......except for anytime we saw the HULK in Avengers, that was cool as hell. Otherwise, no...No no no.
I think Solo4114 hit the nail on the head. Somehow we've all forgotten how to just sit back and experience a movie and while possibly not liking it, not having it turn into this big 'thing'.
The experience is just as important as the context itself, which is why seeing a film at home is never the same 'experience' as seeing it on the big screen.
Anyhow, I dug Suicide Squad.:thumbsup
